Looking back at your current living room color... I think it looks nice. I think what isn't working for me are the couch pillows. I'd use some that have a slight pattern ( 2 of those) and a solid. I would probably lose the middle pillow. I hope you don't mind my suggestions

This is on a cul-de-sac? So people who approach your house will see the garage first, regardless of whether you go with a front or side loading garage. Based only on this information, I'd say flip the house. That'd allow people to see the house first ... and the garage would be seen last. As for the side entry, yes, it looks like you could force it to work, but forcing things is rarely the right choice. It only takes one time pulling into the garage a few degrees "off" -- only one time when the kids are distracting you -- only one time when you're tired -- only one time when the weather's nasty or visibility is bad -- only one time when the phone's ringing, or you absolutely have to get in to use the bathroom, or you're just not on top of your game -- only one time to dent your car and perhaps damage your garage. I wouldn't do it. Instead, I'd go with the front-loading garage (on the flipped house), which will be easier to live with. Buy really nice-looking doors. The price'll be offset by the shorter driveway.

Will the driveway be sloped down to the garage? Having had a driveway with retaining walls, I will tell you that they are a pain in the behind. Especially for visitors, who are likely to bump their fenders or open doors on them. If the driveway has a slope the door banging is all the worse. But if you must, send the driveway along the edge of the property line. Can you widen it? Will visitors usually park in back, by the garage? Then how do they walk around to the front door? You will certainly want to pull the driveway back from the right-hand garage so that the retaining wall allows a car door to open while parked in the driveway. Then provide steps up to the front lawn and around to the front of the house.

I need a pic of that whole space IMO no chairs since they would block the doorway what is it you think you need other than a nice shallow shelf with a lamp maybe and the wall painted an accent maybe .
