What's for Dinner, Thursday?
Comments (13)Shirley, our weather is very similar, and today was nice, wasn't it? Your meal is nice and comforting. I couldn't imagine not having leftovers, or living with someone who doesn't like them. I know people like that, and it's a fresh meal every nite. Jim, how nice having tomatoes and green beans from the garden. Our tomatoes aren't even ripening yet. The landlords gave us a bunch of pole beans, which are long and flat and they went into the soup the other day. They were really good. Raven, was your dinner as good as it sounds?? Do tell. Pam, pizza is good anytime but I'm sure even more so, with your grandson Georgy ravioli with your marinara sauce would be awesome! Rhizo, hubby loves ordering BLT's for breakfast when we go out. Angela, I'll take my cool summer over your heat any day! But a chicken salad is perfect. OF, you must finally be happy! You got some summer temperatures. And you still put the oven on! :)...See MoreWhat's for Dinner, Thursday?
Comments (18)Lots of variety for dinner this evening! Shirley, I love days that have no interruptions. Even days that I plan to stay home and get caught up on things, there are usually reasons to head out or someone comes over. Stuffed peppers sure sound good! Pam a BLT is good anytime. That's usually what hubby orders when we go out for breakfast (he doesn't do eggs) Angela we had corn on the cob on the weekend and nuked it with the husks on. Have you tried that? OF we were in a store today and the Halloween stuff was out along with back-to-school supplies. Rhizo, I love the sound of your dinner every time you have that! B.e. peas I doubt I would like but that would be easy to leave out. I remember you said once it was a mix that you buy. Phyllis, eating frozen grapes made me smile, then I saw the radish sandwich. I feel sorry for you LOL. Maybe we should all send you a bit of our dinners, and you'd have a feast! KIttiemom, everytime I see you having shrimp scampi I want it. But we never buy shrimp. I'm going to have to just buy a bag of frozen ones once and for all and make it. :)...See MoreWhat's for Dinner, Thursday?
Comments (11)Deeby, I cooked a large ham in my stock pot with green beans and potatoes. We love that all simmered together. Kittie, a pot pie sounds wonderful. Did you make it from scratch? Angela, at least you offset the cheese toast with an artichoke! LOL OF, I know that Buffalo stadium was looking for about 500 people to shovel in time for the Bills Game. But they recanted that tonite and cancelled the game. Phyllis, you and Old Fixer were on the same wave-length with your lasagnas. Pam, we love roast chicken, and I always make broth from the roasted bones. Haven't attempted soup yet, though. Shirley, our landlords do appreciate us. They tell us that, and they share their bounty from their garden with us, and let us use part of it to plant whatever we wanted. Shirley you eat so well. Very healthy, and an apple to boot....See MoreWhat's for dinner, Thursday nite?
Comments (2)Well, I woke up this morning and hubby had 2 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of sausage thawing in the refrigerator. Cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste were on the kitchen counter next to the stove. I took a guess that was a pretty good hint that he was ready for another big pot of spaghetti sauce. We had a huge shrimp salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread....See More- 11 years ago
