I think it says how much we love them to have so much poo, vomit and disrespect we deal with. If that was a boyfriend that had given you all that attitude after walking all over the house with oil on his shoes.....you would have had a few choice words...but for your cat....poor baby! I know it! :0)

My kitty seemed to be over hoarking fur balls, so I put him on "all natural" grain free food, lower calorie too. But over the last week he's hoarked twice! He often sleeps on this chair I reupholstered....now the black and white lines are bleeding where I cleaned up Saturdays mess.....and I say...Oh weeeeeell........:0)

My dog puked on my sofa a few days ago also and now it stinks! Any suggestions on how to get the odor out? I cleaned it with alcohol. Its microfiber. I just did the sniff test its still has some odor.

Empty a box of baking soda on the sofa. Leave it for a day or so. Vacuum it up.

I love Woolite with Oxy - Pet Stain or Pet Urine version. It's a spray in a grey bottle. It works great on hairballs, vomit and urine. Ask me how I know. ;)

I'm using the Awesome carpet spray, Bissell carpet pet soap and hydrogen peroxide straight from the bottle. Oh...and now the chair has dried completely....it looks fine!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

Yesterday my cat got upset seeing a rabbit in the yard. The rabbit, by the way, was nearly twice the size of my cat! I made the mistake of grabbing my cat from behind while he was upset and have the scars on my hand to prove it. Yes, we do put up with a lot. . .but to go to sleep every night with my two cats purring beside me (one on my head, usually) makes it all worth it.

My dog just threw up the bowlful of food she had just eaten. I had been thinking yesterday and today she didn't seem to feel all that well. Nothing I can point a finger at, just laying around a lot. Wish I had not fed her that big bowl of food.

Day before yesterday she found a weakness in what I want to be our escape-proof backyard. Most of it is 6 ft. privacy fence but there's about 50 ft. that is vinyl coated metal fencing. She hunts for the right spot to "work" on until she makes a way out. This happens a couple of times every year.

Anyway, I think she might have eaten something bad when she got loose. Wouldn't you think if it was something really bad that she would be more sick by now? It's been more than 48 hours.

I shouldn't laugh at poor Dave but it can't be helped!!! LOL

2 of our 3 cats hoark, Bud is a short-haired cat and we call him "the good son" because he never has.

Predictably they always throw cat-yak on the carpet. They'll walk out of the kitchen/dining area to the hall or livingroom. Geesh!!! I'll run and grab Roxie if I hear her starting and take her to the hard floor. Canned food is very messy the second time around!

Smudge our Maine Coone has a fairly new habit of dragging a throw cushion from the couch down the hall and singing his lungs out. We'll find a cushion beside the bed or in the middle of the hallway. This is all done when we go to bed, or through the nite. It's hilarious.

One won't spit up hair balls anywhere, but the throw rugs. The other, is always on my son's floor. It's his cat, and I feel like he's marking his territory. Weird cat! I wouldn't want that where I lie down. He's such a dweeby cat.

I'm so glad we have hardwood now. It makes cleaning up cat throw-up so much easier.
I walk my nieces dog a couple of days a week and last week I bought some doggy treats for him. They were in a plastic bag on the dining room table which I thought was a safe place for them. Nope, silly me. I got up in the morning to find the plastic bag was torn and gnawed doggy treats all over the dining room table.

But, of course, my cats never go on the tables. At least not when I'm around.

Jasdip, it is good to hear of others who are skilled in scooping up a cat mid-hoark and depositing them on the hard floor! I have done it many, many times.

This is the first time I have heard the word "hoark". What rock have I been under? I have 3 indoor kitties and a dog. The cats all vomit periodically. Usually hairballs. My carpet cleaner asked what I use to clean up pet messes and I responded "Vinegar water". He said that was the best because all the other cleaners you buy in a store are worthless.

blfenton reminds me of the one truly irritating thing, erm, I mean fun! thing doofy cat does. He eats any and all plastics. Bags, Easter grass from the baskets, straws, you name it. He'll even dig it out of the trash.

Blefenton and Robin, Roxie chews on plastic bags as well. If I leave a grocery bag within her reach the handles are inevitably chewed. It drives me crazy. When I see her yak, along with the hairballs, there can be plastic. What a stupid habit.

My dog ate a whole bunch of celery, not just a stalk but the whole bunch.

All that was left was the plastic bag, didn't share with her sisters.

I discovered that my little prince of a cat roots around for dental floss (used) in the bathroom trash basket!

This is a cat that has never jumped on the counter or dining table, won't eat tempting people food of any kind, and whom I've never seen casting even a whisker in the direction of a trash can!

I discovered some floss in a hair ball and then caught him in the act a few days ago. Horrors!

Dental floss! Not only disgusting but dangerous! I've made room for the little baskets under the sink, with the cleaning supplies. Bad Paco!

When you're asleep, they certainly play. I've had the garbage upturned with chicken dragged out of it (cooked) in the morning. We tightened the closure on the door under the sink where the green bin waste is kept.

JoAnn, spray it liberally with a mix of vinegar and water. It will smell like a pickle factory for a few hours but once it dries there will be no vinegar smell and the odor should be gone. Works like a charm for me.

I know because I've left food on the counter, cooling or resting or thawing. We've left the table with food on the plates for an hour or so. He doesn't even jump on the sofa or chairs though he would be welcome to. Nary a cat hair.

He came that way, lol. Paco adopted us as a scraggly stray already equipped with manners, though we had to litter box train him. The vet guesstimated him to be between 1-2 years old when he came up to Robert in the driveway.

Oh, he plays at night, alright. I hear him racing all over the house, and we'll find all of his toys in highly unusual places.....in the closets, on the stairs, on the bed right next to my face ("play with me, mama"). Yep, he's busy rearranging his babies at night.

I swear, he has never expressed any interest whatsoever in the counters or tables. Now, the window sills are a different story. :-)

Smudge still likes dragging a throw pillow from the couch. When I got home today there was one in the hallway. He usually does it through the nite, or just when we go to bed. He drags one into the bedroom.

They get veggies mixed with their food and love it.

Doofy cat loves my squash casserole. I don't make it often. Haven't made it a couple of years. Must be time again. And my mom's cat liked bananas. She'd beg me for those. I can see a dog eating veggies and fruits, but cats can be so finicky, so them eating veggies/fruits(?) is weird.
