Persil at Walmart!
Comments (290)I still use Persil but not the inferior product sold at Walmart and possibly other places. My clothes come out clean. Our towels, at least ten years old, look as white as the day we bought them. It takes the right washer, the right detergent, the right temperature, and knowing the type of fabric. Unfortunately, many consider laundry a chore, to be done as fast as possible. No thought to care. Bleach is not the answer but this is what this country has been sold on. Instead, we should evaluate the stains then treat them accordingly. Of course, clothes are so cheap. Toss them an buy new. Not something my husband and I practice. Our stuff lasts many years!...See MorePersil Pro Clean rolling out - Canada
Comments (36)Is it just me? The powder smells exactly like the German megaperls? I bought that and the liquid cold water wash. The rest regular smelled odd to me in the bottle. I find the scent very strong. I don't dislike it but not sure I can handle it haha. We'll see. Haven't used the powder on a load yet but the smell and look is very much like the German as I recall it....See MorePersil (USA) Power-Pearls being discontinued??
Comments (91)Yes, allergic to Tide Free and Gentle AND Tide Pur. It's very frustrating. I've tried All Free and Clear, but it has been a while. I bought a ton of Wisk Pure and Free?, but I ran out of that sometime last summer, and I don't have anymore. The Biokleen is only HE because it requires less detergent. I don't know that I trust it. I tend to have to use quite a bit of detergent when washing, though I haven't had sudsing issues with most detergents, even with adding STPP. I'm super bad about getting stains out, but I do wash diapers, and they have to be clean. I'm hoping that the toddler decides to potty learn soon, but he's not super excited about it. I need to use something with OB's in it because I hate dingy whites. When I used only Country Save, everything was dingy. :(...See MoreUSA Persil Detergent
Comments (64)Greeny, In answer to your question/s regarding how old the Cheer and Ariel (Latin version) might be...I bought the powder Cheer thru Target dot com about 3 months ago. How old that stock was at the time, I don't know. I didn't save the boxes. The boxes didn't say anything about "reformulated" or "new and improved", so it's likely to be the previous unimproved formulation. If it gets any better than it is now with improvements, well then, just call me one happy girl! I just hope they don't improve it the way P&G improved their scent of Tide cause then I'll be sad. I l-o-v-e the light, clean scent of powder Cheer. The powder Ariel (Latin) I am currently using is a couple months old. Again, I have no way to know how old the stock was when I bought it as I threw the bags away as soon as I got them home and poured the powder into my plastic storage bins. The American Ariel that I choose not to buy again, I bought in Feb 2017. It cleaned well. I just could NOT stand the scent and it left our laundry rough. For us to say that it's rough says a lot since I never use liquid fabric softener, so we are used to laundry not being Downey softened. I do use Bounce fabric softener sheets when needed, but that's only for static control since it's so dry here, we have to use a dryer sheet, or else all clothing is a static-y mess when put in the dryer. I find the softening of dryer sheets to be marginal, compared to liquid fabric softener. Way way back, in the stone age, I used to use liquid Downey, but when we moved to this location, the static was too strong even for LFS, and I had to change to dryer sheets. I hope that helps! What a great discussion! Being a laundry fan, I am enjoying this thread! Have a great day everyone....See Moremeyerk9
