Home Depot has now installed 3 roofs on my house in 8 months
Comments (7)Don, I am not completely ignorant of matters pertaining to roofs. I read through your entire web site. It was quite interesting. Please retain an attorney immediately. You have done nothing wrong, you must be made whole again. Hey - winter is only four months away! Do not speak or communicate any further with HD. If you receive any snail mail hand it to your attorney, any phone calls polietly tell them to speak to your lawyer. Do not converse with any representivative that stops by, do not allow anyone to start any further 'repairs'! Your home has received serious damage, there may be even more damage than you are aware of. You have bent over backwards and given HD the benefit of doubt and their 'project manager' has disrespected you and taken advantage of your patience. They are hoping you will just Go Away. It's not going to suddenly turn around and be fixed all 100% to specs and your contract. Don't be totally surprised if the 3rd roof has to come off - although I'm not saying it has to, who knows. You need an independant evaluation from an experienced roof specialist. Please do not just get tired of the whole circus and decide "well, it's OK now." You have been neglected and abused, your home has been damaged, your resale value is now in doubt. Fight for what is yours and do not let them mistake mildness for weakness. I care. That said - I love HD. You just got in with a bad group, from the store manager to the 'project manager', to the sub-contractor(s). GH-...See MoreTTC in 6 months.. what to do right Now?
Comments (13)I agree with the above post. Lose the extra weight before trying to conceive. I was about 15 lbs heavier than I like to be when I conceived (last February) It was right after the holiday eating binge and I fractured my foot and was unable to work out for a month and a half which led to the weight gain. I was thrilled to be pregnant, but not to start out fifteen lbs ahead already! My baby was born 11 weeks ago, and I have 10lbs till I am down to where I was at when I became pregnant, but then I STILL have fifteen more to go after that! YUCK! Be careful though, you don't want to lose too much, or lose too fast because that could upset you menstrual cycle and all your hormones. Maybe just exercise a bit more and make sure you are eating a healthy diet. I would start on prenatals because they are so important! My doctor said the ones over the counter are just as good as prescription. I would take a vacation, or even just stay in a hotel for a night. Save $$ as much as you can. I am a teacher, and when school lets out in May I will not be coming back...my baby needs me...I miss him so much right this minute I could cry! You will want to be with your baby if at all possible so start that home based business. Don't buy baby things till your pregnant, and even then, I have just recently learned...DON'T BUY NEWBORN STUFF! My baby is 2 1/2 months and this morning he is comfortably wearing a 6month outfit! He is not fat...just so long! So many people will give you newborn stuff, they will wear it once. Save your $$$ for when all the gifts quit pouring in. When I was pregnant, I started stockpiling diapers. This has helped a TON. I kept all the receipts in case my baby didn't do well with a particular brand I could return them, but so far he is doing great. We haven't returned any! We just went and bought a jumbo pack of diapers every pay period while I was pregnant. That sure helped. We probably won't be buying diapers for a year! It's nice, because since we are paying daycare until May money is tighter, and diapers are expensive even with coupons, so it was nice to get that out of the way. I will quit rambling, everyone else answered so well it looks like you have tons of great help! Aspen (and baby Logan)...See MoreOriginal Listing Photos Before I Bought My House vs. Now
Comments (39)Kevin- Speaking of rugs....have you heard the latest TV commercials for The Dump? Yesterday (4/10) while preparing dinner the commercial announced that "The Dump is going out of the Oriental rug business." Prices will be up to 85% off this weekend only. I checked their web site, clicked on the Langhorne store and the same AD ran. I don't know if this is akin to the all the Oriental rug stores that are forever going out of business but I thought I'd pass it along in case you were still looking for rugs....See MoreGood News! Comments (7)Everything is more expensive. Property taxes rise 30% a year as all the neighbors sell there homes at escalating prices.( I will be one of them now) There is lots of work but you work so much to pay the bills that you can not enjoy the area. The 11 acres beside us(no home) was bought just in 2001 for 200,000.00 it sold in 2005 for 330,000.00 It is now listed for 1,125.000.00 They turned down 900,000.00 last year. My neighbors home was built and bought 2 years ago for 650,000.00. It is now listed for 1,300,000.00 My wages do not go up as fast as the taxes and upkeep costs. We decided to sell and take the money and run....See Morenosoccermom
