Comments (6)Kristi, even though I would hate your warm summers, your springtime looks so good! This is the LONGEST cold winter toward spring I think I have ever been in...another day of 38 degree temps with intermittent rain. I did work with seedlings in my growing room where I am starting my flowers for cutting, but my tomato seeds have not even sprouted yet in the growing room, and look at the plants you are setting out! As to your San Remo, the 2nd one is rather nice with the stripes but neither really looks much like the others I have seen, including the 3 I had this year, other then being the same colors. It will be interesting to see what they look like next year, whether they revert to a "normal" San Remo" or are off in their breeding....See MoreTuesday's Question............
Comments (35)I have enough Irish blood in me to remember my Grandpa doing jigs around the dining room table. LOL My Great Grandma Paul on my Mom's maternal side was an Irish Kennedy, My Grandpa's Scottish clan was banished to Ireland for sheep poaching which is why his last name started with an McC instead of a MacC. You can tell we have a lot of "black Irish" (mix of Spanish and Irish) genes in our blood - well not mine but those of my Mom and her siblings and most of my siblings. They are lucky and have darker skin and dark hair while myself and my brother Donald were the fair haired, rosey cheeked children. My Mom and her siblings were born in Scotland. There is also Irish blood on both sides of my Dad's family. Although he and 2 of his siblings were born in Canada my Grandpa, Grandma and my Uncle were born in England. Comments (4)Have a memorable St. Paterick's Day celebration, everyone ... go green! I'm feeling a bit sad. My son's friend, the carny guy, hadn't heard of the St. Paddy's Day Parade in downtown Toronto on Sunday noon ... ... and when I told him, wondered whether I could take him. I couldn't, I thought - didn't know licensed driver willing to make that pretty well all-day trip. Plus, I'd have to have the driver drive my (standard transmission) car ... as I can't drive on the expressway. This "second childhood" licence is for the birds! Make what efforts are necessary to protect your licence ... not put it at risk! He figures that going on the bus is too complicated ... and expensive. ole joyful...See MoreSt. Patrick's Day Feast With Friends
Comments (9)Thank you, everyone. Silly me, I forgot to mention that when mum fell, it was the day before gram died, so it's been a rough past month, but mum's doing a lot better (still sore in her, um, pride lol), but she's doing okay. Went back to the farm today, but no leftovers for supper since there wasn't enough. My friend said his mother usually makes Reuben sandwiches with the leftover corned beef and cabbage. I hope everyone had a delicious meal and a happy, happy day with your friends and families. Mum and I had lunch from the Dairy Queen and I had a grilled cheese for dinner at my friend's (his parents just live up the road). I was hungry a little while ago, so I had Wendy's leftovers (with some fries from lunch) while mum and I watched the season premiere of Trading Spaces. Brad AKA Moonwolf...See MoreUser
