I can't stand it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!
Comments (25)Let's go to Hawaii in our mind. Think of green palm trees, warm white sand under your feet, cool waves of water lapping on your ankles. Breath nice and slow and tell yourself this weather will pass and spring will be here soon. Go feed the birds some seeds, plan a spring event, and have a nice hot beverage you love. I hope the sun finds you like it has us although it's -3 (-24wc) outside. The wind is calming down which is a relief!! I'm thinking if I can finally drive out this afternoon I'll bring food to the community pantry. Then On Sat, I hope to drive up to Elkhorn to attend Grammahony's benefit meal/auction for her grandson Nathan. DD also has 3 basketball games this weekend I'm really looking forward too. Oh my, If it weren't for other activities this snow would make me crazy. I feel for you, since I'm pretty dang close to pounding my legs and arms too. Told dh yesterday I wouldn't have made it like the homesteaders had too. Looney comes to mind....See MoreI can't stand it anymore!
Comments (33)Well, I made the trip this morning. I didn't meet the person from the infamous voice mail though. I told the clerk when the cat was taken in and what she looked like and the story about the kittens. She said that she didn't know of anything like that but that I was free to look at all the cats they had. There were some beautiful animals there, but I didn't see my hotel kitty. I can only assume the worst. I showed the lady the picture and she said she didn't remember seeing a cat that looked like that. I guess they get so many it's hard to keep up with each one. They had several kittens as well, but I don't know which if any were hers because I didn't get a look at them before animal control came. Maybe it worked out for the best. If I do get a second kitty as a companion for Jasper and myself it should really be a boy (according to everyone who seems to know), and one that is tame. I don't know why I wanted this kitty so badly... we didn't connect... I spent hours chasing it and watching it run full speed away from me. I asked myself why I really wanted this kitty. I think I just wanted to feel good about "rescuing" a "homeless" kitty. I want to expand my family, but I think when the kitty is right the situation will work out. There was a beautiful silver and grey kitty at a gas station 2 days ago that I tried to approach. It ran so fast, I thought it was going to dart into traffic. I think I would like to get a kitty of the street instead of going to a shelter (especially this one after my dealings with them!). I will just have to find one that isn't quite so scared if that is even possible. I would of course take it to the SPCA to have it speutered and vaccinated before I took it into my home. Anyway... that's the update... thanks to everyone who responded....See MoreWhy can't we right click photos anymore?
Comments (11)@Sherry I tried hovering over stories and advice and then clicking gardenweb discussions, but the instant I click to go to the perennials board/forum the address changes back to houzz. The address bar does change to gardenweb after hovering over stories and advice and then clicking gardenweb discussions, but as soon as I choose a board/forum it goes back to houzz. Very annoying. @Ken it depends on the picture. Some pictures are available in larger sizes, and some aren't, but websites usually don't show the full size image (if there even is a larger size) when you left click them. I am getting the plus sign when I left click and that makes them a little bit bigger, but I can't right click at all....See MoreWhy can't I post pictures anymore?
Comments (9)Hi Seil, we just had a similar discussion of picture-posting on another thread. Here is a link https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5802494/what-happened-to-all-the-old-posts#n=90 . Look at the last few posts to see how to get around the problem by reducing the size of your pictures. I never had a problem posting pictures of high res until yesterday when I tried to start a post here. Then I encountered exactly what you described. Reduction of picture size worked for me. :-)...See More- 11 years ago
