What do you think of my grow light for cherry tomato
Comments (24)"It's an east facing window that gets several hours of light, plus I've added this 6500k 23w 1600 lumens grow light a couple inches above it. It's the same bulb specs my aerogarden uses." Judging from your photo, your fluorescent light has a higher proportion of green and cyan light in it than natural daylight does. With fluorescent bulbs, mixing light colors is equivalent to mixing phosphors. Green and cyan light are the least useful to plants, therefore there is no justification for putting green phosphor in a fluorescent bulb designed for plants. The only reason to put that much green phosphor in a bulb is to increase the perception of brightness to the human eye and thereby fool the customer. Comments (13)I could just extend the counter, but I wanted a pony wall or something for some definition. And a wall makes no sense as we mocked it up and it locked me in. So it was my brilliant idea to make a pantry ;) And the pantry will only be as deep as the shallowist part to the right of the vanity. 16". So will not stick out. I can envision it. In my mind it works. In the real world...I guess we'll see! As far as function, there is room. The two faucets will not be perfect as it's only a 36 " sink. We kind of mocked it up and while we rarely get ready at the same time, our issues are faucet, outlet and towel. He reaches over for my towel. I reach over for the outlet. We use the sink occasionally together. Mostly on a Sunday or something. We'll have them about 6-9 inches in from the outside. Sigh. I am listening to all you are saying. And I get it. It's such a stupid space. He starts in about a month. Hopefully all will be ready by then. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the help mayflowers and helping me to think it all through....See MoreHello, what budget vanity do you think will best pair with my tile
Comments (4)If you are selling, you should be just sprucing up so that things look clean and uncluttered, but not “knocking out closets“, and definitely not ”renovating the house” with new floors. First, changing out floors is a big stressful job. Second, lifting an old floor can open a can of worms that could really mess you up. Third, the floor you pick will not match what buyers might like - it’s best to price the home with the current floors in mind, and let the new owners install the floor they want. Fourth—and most important—you will not recoup in the sale price what you spent on “renovating the house”. Here is a screenshot of the floors you linked. That gray stripey look is dated several years already. One reason it got dated so fast is that it is very difficult to match wall paint, upholstery, counter, and cabinet finishes to it, nearly impossible. Don‘t install this. Just leave your floors as is and price your home accordingly....See MoreWhat do you think of this size hanging light for this size space?
Comments (32)@RedRyder thank you so much! And yes, we're on the same wavelength! I had ordered 2 flush mounts, this one: I didn't like it. The glass was not seedy in the way I expected it and it would have been a pain each time to change the bulbs. Then I also ordered this one, and it got here today: I have't opened this one yet. But in general, I of course thought a hanging lantern would be much prettier. But I did realize it's more complicated than just a flush mount, like how low to hang it, the thought of it during a hurricane, etc. Although I see plenty of these in my community. It did bother me when I looked at the height from inside the interior door but i thought that would go away once it's installed. I realize the potential danger if I think about it from that angle but then I think what is the likelihood that something would happen once it's up and secure. So I'm a bit conflicted. I could also try this flushmount and see how I like this one....See Morenumbersjunkie
