10 Ways to Think Outside the Bathroom Sink Box
A Better Bathroom Sink: Go Stainless, Go Big, Go Sculptural
A lot of bathroom sinks are a real snoozefest. There are so many clever options out there today that there is really no excuse to be dull, even if you're a minimalist. Here are 10 unconventional ways to think sink:
3. Unite Jack and Jill. Placing two faucets over a long sink gives you the double-sink effect without actually requiring two sinks.
4. Promote the utility sink up from mudroom duty. Here the designer has taken a wall-mounted utility sink and paired it with a counter, elegant fixtures, and sophisticated penny tile. The result is an unexpected mix.
5. Get blobby with it. This bulbous bowl sink is sculptural and well balanced.
6. Kill two birds with one stone? I have to be honest, I have no idea what's really going on here, but I just had to ask you all if you're thinking what I'm thinking about this sink! If anyone knows for sure, please let me know in the comments section!
7. Think vertical. Wall-mounted faucets and handles make it possible to use larger sinks atop the vanity — you don't have to save any counter space or worry about height when you do this.
8. Go big. Opt for a larger vessel sink in the bathroom where you want to wash your face. It will keep you from drenching the counter in water.
9. Bring the stainless steel upstairs. It can bring an industrial look to a modern bathroom.
10. Realize that troughs aren't just for horses. This poured concrete sink forces you to put things away in the medicine cabinets keep things uncluttered.
Here is the same sink from a different angle. Do you have an interesting sink? We want to hear about it!
