Comments (19)You're welcome, I'm sorry it's not working for you. It shouldn't make a difference but what browser are you using? I use IE for GW and Firefox for most everything else. Can you make another post and include a link to one of your pictures that you would like to post and I'll give a try and see if I can see what's happening? Comments (12)Flora is right. A post with a tricky ID can often be silent until someone posts an incorrect ID! :) It is a nice idea though. Simple buttons to add italics and bold formatting, etc. to text may help those not acquainted with HTML tags to add formatting. This is a "nice" feature as opposed to a "requirement" in my opinion. Some newer forum sites have avatar picture and "ratings" based upon how frequently the posters make posts functionality. The ratings give people a clue as to "regulars" and forum "experts" plus some recognition to those folks that do make the forums alive. And the avatar pics is just one of those little bits of personality and customization people like. I've been a regular of one forum or another since Usenet days when everything was text only and so I personally don't have to have such things but I would expect this type of upgrade to be liked by many. Comments (9)Another plea for a self editing feature. ------------------------------------------ A second to auto-return to the same thread after posting. ------------------------------------------ How about a "Skip to new post" at the top of the thread or better yet, a revamp of the forum page, where any threads that have new posts since my last visit are marked, and automatically clickable to the first unread post. As it is now, having to search every thread to see where I left off (or even see if there are any new posts) is very tiresome. ----------------------------------------- Signatures are great, but in my experience, it's hard to get people who should use them, use them. And then people have multiple computers that could become confusing if that information were supplied. What about, for this computer forum only: When you go to post a message, there are two message boxes: --- First, a small, optional box to fill out basic computer info - make, model, OS. This would prompt all those who conveniently "forget" when that info is necessary. --- Second, the normal message box. ---------------------------------------- I don't mind the non-glitzy view format at all. But a lot of the "guts" can be improved....See MoreFirefox and Chrome STYLISH add on to change the print and background
Comments (13)I'm always hesitant to download FF add-ons because I've had some cause browsing issues at certain websites. I'm curious about Stylish though, I've seen that you can change to some predetermined style that someone has created and I'm not interested in doing that with my page. All I want to do is change the font to something more pleasing to the eye and change the background color to tone it down a bit. Can I do that with Stylish? I've looked at a few videos and all I see is some format choices that I really don't want to use. Could someone tell me how to use Stylish to make my own choices of fonts and background colors?...See More- 9 years ago
