Jim needs your good thoughts and prayers

Jim is in the hospital and not doing too well.He has Stage 4 Cancer and he just finished 10 radiations because the Cancer was pressing on the top of his spine. He had partial hip replacement about 6 months ago and now the pain is at the top of his spine.He was in the kitchen a few weeks ago and fell and scraped his arm pretty bad.He is on blood thinner so it bled really bad.We went to the ER and it seemed to be healing.Two days ago a sore showed up on his elbow and he said it was quite painful. He wouldn't go to the ER but later that night he could not get up out of the recliner and it took he and I at least a half an hour to get him to the bed. Once there he couldn't move to put his legs up because the pain was so bad.So I called 911 and they admitted him.They did a lot of blood work and we found out today that there is bacterial in his blood. We don't know where it is coming from but they have him on all sorts of antibiotics and are running more blood to try to find where the bacteria is coming from. Please keep him and his doctors in your prayers.

veleen and Vince my thoughts and prayer are with you. Veleen my Mom had the same eye problems be sure and ask your Dr what thing you can get from the government for help with your eyes. My mother rec books on tape as many as she wanted a month they send you the machine and the tapes free and you mail them back free they send you a list of all the books available all cities have this you could also check with you library and they would know what all you have to do to get started. It would be a good pass time for you both and then you could tell us what books to read. You will get you eye drops regulated and they pretty much can help you with the drops but be sure and take them I have had 6 weeks of treatment for my back on a spina table and it has done wonders for my back and also for my husband back. Check into spina tables with your Dr and I think you will find y our back much better. I will keep you in my daily prayers and hope to see you when I come to Westlake OH to see my big Sis I know Donna oh is also near there would be great to give you all a hug in person!!!!!!!!! praying for you now imabest

Hi Veta, It was caught early. Some tumours were found a couple years ago during an examination, and he had them removed. During his 3-month examinations, they were found again, in fairly quick succession, a few more times. More surgery to remove them. His doctor suggested the bladder removal, since they keep coming back, and quickly. He sent Wally to a specialist, for a second opinion. He agreed, and said that his bladder looks "very angry". He was scheduled for this surgery, and got 'er done.

Petaloid, I really hope you're right! I REALLY want this job. It would also cut my daily commute from a total of 1 1/2 hours (100 miles) to 30 minutes (25 miles). That would be great too!

He has been through so much. It is unimaginable to me. Certainly praying for Jim and for you and that the doctors will find the right meds to thwart the bacterial infection and relieve Jim of his pain.

sandi? wondering how he did thru the weekend?

sure hope his oncologist was able to see him as well...it's so irritating when one dr doesn't call or talk to original...even with meds...primary suggested new drug for bone density...well that's fine but what about oncologist and kidney dr??? so after getting on the phone and leaving messages with the other 2 dr's got an ok...and they're all supposed to connected to the hospital I used...
