Good thoughts and prayers needed...

Please keep Jennifer (my old neighbor, friend and realtor)and her family in your prayers. Her mother is dying. They are all at the hospital. She has pulmonary fibrosis. It is a horrible diease. People slowly suffocate to death.

You might remember her baby's picture taken in my garden last spring. She is like another GD to me. How do you explain to a 2 yr old that Grammy is gone?

Thoughts and prayers of peace to your friends. Young children are amazing and there are some very good books at the library about losing a grandparent. Writers have done a good job bringing passing on down to a childs level.

I will hope for good news for Bonnie, and will look for it when I get home tomorrow. We are driving my sister through a projected snowstorm (3 hours) to see the gyn.onc. to see if the spots are cancer. She lives alone and her life has been severely curtailed by health issues. I would appreciate prayers for her. Her name is Linda and she is very scared.

Thanks so much for the good vibes.. I think they worked. I was so stressed when I wrote that, having flashbacks from 2 years ago when my Mother passed. I was the only one ( out of 8 kids) to be there! It's so different when it's your own family, and being a nurse sometimes makes it worse. ( so much is expected.. hey , I'm not a doctor, I just play one on TV!!) He was finally moved to a room,He is right next to the Nurses Station. I am glad he is not miles away. He is breathing a bit better, but he is 87 with multiple problems. I can't even begin to tell of the horrors in that ER. ( once, he spent 5 days there!) I'll go over later this morning and get to speak with the patient rep. It's always worse over a holiday or weekend. ( You can only get sick Monday through Friday) Thanks again, It really meant SO much to me to read all your kind words! You really helped!!! I feel so fortunate to have found you all! Lori

Like Martha, my thoughts are with you, going through times like this are very hard on everyone involved, but knowing that passing will end the suffering of a loved one somehow makes it a little easier.

J's mom passed away yesterday afternoon. I am so sad for those left behind. But thankful she is no longer suffering.
