KT good thoughts and prayers needed.....

DH is going in for carotid surgery in the morning and we expect no problems but all extra good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

He is 80 and in very good health. He has had no symptoms with his carotid arteries, fortunately but his cardiologist thought he needed to have another ultrasound and a surgical appointment before the end of summer. He has been having yearly ultrasounds for about six years and they have been stable until this April.

I will do an update tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Thanking everyone in advance. Surgery is at 9 AM PDT.

You have my prayers for a successful outcome for your husband. My sister has to go in for an MRA as her latest tests weren't the best.

With one of my cats, I gave his IV at home for about a year and it worked wonders for him. He would just about come and tell me when it was time for one.He would sit there and not move , I put his cat bed up on the counter in the bathroom and he would lay down in it and I had the IV hanging from a coat hanger up high on the cabinet, it took about 10 minutes to put in the required amount and he knew exactly when it should be over and he would turn his head and gently grab my finger with his teeth LOL . Like ok now I am done! This is a gentle warning! Then he would get down and spend an hour licking himself since he had saliva again. When it got to the point that he was not bouncing back with the IV and his levels were very bad the vet said he would not be around much longer. He passed at home one night. All 3 of my kitties died from that darn kidney failure. It is so unfortunate that so many cats end up that way. But the vet said there really is not a lot of pain involved. I hope your kitty can make it through this for a while longer.

I hope all she needs is stents but I have had three friends under go by pass in the last month....all in their eighties and doing very well. Good thoughts coming to your friend, Sally. The good news is that she's aware of her problem and can take the necessary steps to correct it.
