I hope the drops help. They are doing some new things for macular degeneration. Hope they find something to help you. Both my grandmother and an aunt had it. I know how hard it was for them.

I'm so sorry to hear of this Velleen....have you looked into the institute for the blind to see if they would have a magnifying screen for your television and/or computer?

I know of another lady who did this and it worked really well for her(she too,had md)

Velleen, my father in law has it really bad, but there are injections available now that are helping him tremendously.
I hope that you can get the help you need to improve your sight.

I too am starting drops, not for that problem but glocuma.
Both DH and I take 2 herbs that really do help. Lutin and Bilberry does not cure but improves the eyes. Talk to your DR. ours approves taking these two herbs.

Velleen, my cousin had that and went w/ a group from Tyler to Hot Springs, Arkansas to an acupunterist. He really helped all of them. He's been on 20/20 or 60 minutes--one of those news shows. It took my cousins a long time to deteriorate.

I've always read that Lutein and Bilberry prevent macular degeneration. They might help when you already have it. Worth a try..... at least they're not expensive. Best of luck to you.

Thank you all for your Prayers and thoughts. I have a good doctor and he keeps checking. Someone mentioned glacouma well O have it also.
Don't want to complain but just telling why I'm not here as much as before.

Veleen my Mom had the same eye problems be sure and ask your Dr what thing you can get from the government for help with your eyes.
My mother rec books on tape as many as she wanted a month they send you the machine and the tapes free and you mail them back free they send you a list of all the books available all cities have this you could also check with you library and they would know what all you have to do to get started.
It would be a good pass time for you both and then you could tell us what books to read.
You will get you eye drops regulated and they pretty much can help you with the drops but be sure and take them
I have had 6 weeks of treatment for my back on a spina table and it has done wonders for my back and also for my husband back. Check into spina tables with your Dr and I think you will find y our back much better.
I will keep you in my daily prayers and hope to see you when I come to Westlake OH to see my big Sis I know Donna oh is also near there would be great to give you all a hug in person!!!!!!!!! praying for you now imabest
