My niece had a successful liver transplant in May, on my mother (her grandmother's) 85th birthday. Good wishes for Terri!

They got a liver!!!

The surgery will begin at 3:00 p.m. EDT. We are all cautiously ecstatic, if such a combination is possible.

Yes, I meant to add that Terry's daughter said the same thing when I talked to her about the donated liver. She said she was praying for his or her family, too.

Lifting prayers for Terry from here in E. Texas too- 5:00 P. M. New York time and hope you all have had word about how surgery is going, etc. by now. I know the ups & downs of going through what your family is...the joy of HOPE is wonderful! (DH waited 5 months & time was running out when his new heart came, so I know how much prayers & hope count!)
Encouragement and support will be very important now, and from all you've said about your relationship, she'll get heaps & bundles of that!

I haven't heard a word about how the surgery's going. This is nerve-wracking.....

Adding my Special Thoughts & Prayers as well. I truly hope she makes a full recovery.

The waiting is sooo hard- especially when you're not there.
I'll be up off 'n on thru' the night to pray for you, Terry and the rest of the family & will check to see if you've gotten word.

Hope you can find a measure of comfort in realizing that with all the KT'ers, your entire famliy, their many friends and all the lives they've touched in volunteer work through the years a whole MULTITUDE of prayers are flying up!

After my Brother's Liver Transplant he went back to work after 8 weeks Part Time.

My special thoughts going out to your Terry for a successful outcome. I hope all is well this morning. I spent yesterday with a cousin whose husband had a liver transplant about 9 years ago. He has done wonderfully and is working, leading a normal life. Yes, miracles do happen.

I was sure I'd wake up to an email from Terry's daughter, but no word. I feel sick with worry. I'm hoping they just want to deliver good news on the phone.

I hope Terry does really well thru the surgery and the recovery, Susan. Wow, timing is really everything!

I'm sure you'll hear something soon, perhaps they're waiting until folks are up and about, not wanting to wake anyone.
