GardenWeb is now part of Houzz
Comments (3)I got an email about this but honestly didn't read it too closely yet. Unfortunately have not had much time lately to visit GW. Never heard of this Houzz site. Reminds me of those cats and their cheezburgers..... :) Dee...See MoreGarden Web and Houzz
Comments (80)I think Houzz is located just 20 minutes up the Peninsula from me in Palo Alto. If they have their customer service locally, that would be the Pacific Time zone. As for the name thing, almost EVERYONE got that message about their name already being taken. Somehow I think there is some kind of doubling effect that goes on when you register with GW. I was absolutely not going to give up my online name so I wrote to customer service and insisted that I am the real, original, one-and-only Rosefolly, and they gave me back my name. I think the same kind of thing is going on with many GW users. I believe that if it is important to you (it was to me) and if you persist, you can get your name back. Rosefolly...See Moregarden web/ houzz ??
Comments (2)For each notification you receive for a new comment, you can also turn off notifications for just that discussion by looking for two links at the bottom of the email. One will turn them off for just that thread, the other will turn them off for all threads. Hope that helps!...See MoreHouzz Garden web help very frustrated yet again
Comments (11)It worked but they will probably find a way to block it if they read this. Thank you. I am an Interior Designer you should hear the complaints from the design community from those who signed up to be part of this app. One I know became so desperate he changed the name of his company. It seems withdrawing from houzz is almost impossible without causing great damage to their businesses. The app served a great purpose when it began and my hope is that it will be bought out or inherited by more reputable people. The way they do business is POOR business in the long run. I would never utilized any of their services and those in the know would not do so either. This has got to hurt them so they seem to be branching out into other areas to generate revenue. So sad when all they need to do is be honorable business owners. I am sure if we felt less frustration some who read or post on Gardenweb would travel to their design sites for advice or products. Now it only the unsophisticated or the newbies that they hook in. Hummm wonder if I will be banned for this ???? Wish that they would take advice instead....See MoreHolly- Kay
