Is there a way to age a house?

We live in southern Louisiana and moved our house from the city to our property in the country 7 years ago and moved in 5 years ago this March.

I have traced the house back as far as I can because at one point, it was a church and our tax office took tax free properties off the tax roll.

We've been told the house was built circa 1850.

When I was totally renovating the house, I found square nails, rough cut wood, irregular sized studs, the beams under the house are about 8x8" continuous beams, no splicing. The wood in the attic appears to be hand cut but I'm not sure. There was paper wrapped electrical wire and the toilet stack was cast iron. The entire roof is tongue and groove wood covered with tin. I'm sure the sink was added later, but it is dated 1949.
