flowerchild - I found the garage sale type selling wasn't the best way to go for me. I found a yahoo group site that lets me list items I have to sell for free in my area. It's so much easier and you don't have to deal with people that come over with the garage sale mentality (You know, they only want to pay a dime or a quarter for something). Even better, I can do it at my own pace. My WS'ing didn't go so well this year but I was able to sell mature plants and baby divisions with no problems. I even had people come back when I listed things again. When you list them, just be clear that they are babies and won't bloom until next year. (I gave the sizes of my pots so no one came disappointed). Put a group of things together (all different varieties) and sell the whole group for a set price. This way you don't have to deal with people only wanted to spend a dollar or two. I sold $40.00 lots and $25.00 lots but you'd have to adjust your price to something fair for seedlings. The people that respond will probably be gardeners (or have shopped and are aware of nursery prices). So, it turns out to be a nice experience for both of you. I listed just having one or two groups of a particular lot but had several duplicates made up. This way, people hurried up to contact me and came over at an agreed upon time/day so they didn't lose the plants. Hope this helps in some way:) shimla

What is your environment like? House wrens prefer brushy or wooded areas, but they will not stay there, unfortunately. We have a problem with HOWR too, but our bluebirds have only had minimal losses due to HOWR. The more HOWR that reproduce, the more problems you will have with them locally. HOSP can be a much bigger problem, especially when there are large numbers. However, they are NOT protected by law. You can legally remove eggs, young, nests and/or adults. I'll listen to you Kat. Hope Ry gets a better deal pretty soon. I felt whiny today when I found out my DD's 6th grade C league team was bumped up to B league for this weekends tournament. We brought our new recreation team to play and surprisingly won one of two games today. Most of those B teams are hard core players who have been playing with each other since 3rd grade. We were the wrong team to move up a bracket but no one would answer the calls when left messages to talk about it. We are down to 5 girls and one tiny little gal for a sub. One more game tomorrow. Sports are fun to watch and totally frustrating to deal with at times. I'll send lots of mind vibes to R's coach, so he'll play him more...lol, wonder if it works???
