Some interesting terms that have arisen in conversations on international forums.

When asked her secrets re planting a particular type of plant, one Aussie gardener said - "No secret. I just bung them in the ground". She was asked to elaborate on the mysterious process of 'bunging'.

When an American gardener explained that he liked to pot his irises up until they were 'thoroughly rooted', before putting them in the garden, It was all i could do to stop myself replying "that is the stage when we put them on the compost here in Aus".

Many interesting conversations have centred on "chooks". No other countries seem to have 'em. Where does that one come from?
