About me: I live in sunny Sth East Queensland just outside of Brisbane. I have a 5 acre block which is slowly being replanted for a "Land for Wildlife" project. The centre piece is a large farm dam which is where most of the plantings are. Most of the trees and shrubs are local native to form the framework and then I will fill in with other appropriate native or exotic plants. The project has been going only 3 years and already we are seeing an increase in the bird life around the dam and at last count we managed to identify 17 freshwater turtles in the dam.
