I bought some at the farmers market this weekend. My aunt called me raving about it, so I figured it was worth a try. I will for sure try grilling it! Thanks so much!

Hey Andrew! Are you back fr good now? I hope so. You have been missed buddy! Congrats on your win from Four Winds! I hope you love your new tree. they are sending me a new Oro this week! Yahoo. I have the mix and fertilizers all ready to go. It was hard to stay indoors Andrew. I was hopping around out there all morning lifting plants up and making sure I didn't loose anything to the neighbors up the street with all this wind.lol At least the rain is warm and fun to step into. I know I should of brought my plants inside, but I wanted them all to get drenched with this much needed rain. They are all looking so nice, except the one lying on the ground of course.lol Yes Patty: Best wished to your Daughter from here too! Mike

I am about to harvest some white PP in the morning for an old fashion recipe from Grand Ma. It is a casserole made with chicken pieces, fresh corn off the cob and PP. First brown the chicken pieces(thighs, drum sticks, wings, breast, etc.)in a cast iron pan with VOO. While the chicken browns on all sides(turn pieces over to other side) cube the already washed PP(3 to 4 PPs) and then take the kernels of corn off the cob with a knife(2 to 3 ears). After the chicken is browned add the spices with 1 cup of h2o(spices depend on taste)along with the PP and corn and cover over a medium heat till PP is soft not mushy (al dente)Testing once in a while for taste. Spread some tomato sauce over the top before it is done. Enjoy

What a beautiful picture Julia. Hope you have a great holiday season, too.Mine is off to a bad start already. One of my daughters sent me to the eye Doctor to have my eyes checked and fitted for new glasses for Christmas, I have been wearing these I have for at least 10 yrs, and have got to where I cant read the paper with them, so she was going to get me some new ones for Christmas. Well, the eye doctor wouldn't prescribe new glasses. Said I have Cataracts on both eyes, and right one being the worse, and wanted to schedule me to go have them removed right away, I told him not so fast dr,I never rush into anything without thinking it over awhile. He asked me 3 times if I have had a stroke and 3 times I told him no I have not..I guess because I was walking with a cane. don't know, but he sure was fixed on the stroke idea.he has sure scared me to death with this surgery idea. and especially when he says they don't put you to sleep for it,as it only takes about 15 minutes. My daughter was in there listening to him and said later he acts mighty queer to her, like he might be on some thing. I have no idea, but, I want to ask questions about any surgery on my eyes before anything is done.he did tell me I could go blind if its not done, and that scares me even more,as all I think about now is spring and seeing my daylily blooms again and being on the forum to see every one elses, too. Have a very merry Christmas Julia and a happy new year. Jean
