Ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, black olives, peas, and pecan pie.

Grilled steak, garlic mashed potatoes, tossed salad, creamed corn and rolls. Oh and your choice of cheesecake or Keylime pie.

I am adding Glenda's pineapple casserole to the meal as it tastes so good with the Honey Baked Ham.

We are having a standing rib roast, au gratin potatoes, honey wheat rolls, broccoli, spinach and roasted beets.
Desserts are homemade vanilla bean ice cream, carrot cake and Kentucky Chocolate Pecan Pie..

I have yet to frost the carrot cake, freeze the ice cream, do all the veggies and roast the roast..Everything else is done.

Our traditional Christmas dinner. It's:

Beef Wellington
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Creamed corn
Glazed julienned carrots
Eggnog Christmas Salad
Rolls and butter

Dessert will be:

Homemade pecan pie, served with French Vanilla ice cream (if desired)
Homemade pumpkin pie, served with fresh whipped cream (if desired)

I wrote this down and hung it on the frig b/c the kids asked me 12 times, as if they are new here. This is our tradition as it fell into place a few years ago. It is meant to cover everyone. ;o)

Breakfast is monkey bread with "snow" (powdered sugar)
Couple hours later while I'm cooking I'll put out cheese, pepperoni, crackers, grapes
Dinner is a pot roast, mashed potatoes, noodles (Reemes brand, gotta be), green beans, cranberry sauce, mandarine oranges, deviled eggs, cresent rolls
Dessert is chocolate cream pie, key lime yogurt pie and chocolate chip cookies.

I want another wife. I need back-up in the kitchen. DD will help (until she gets bored), but she's only 9. The chaos drives DH nuts, he will be busily picking up every scrap of wrapping and making sure the kids keep their "stuff" together. ;o)

We had Christmas Eve dinner...and tomorrow morning will be homemade biscuits and gravy. :)

We're going to SO's DD's house for Christmas, and I'm not sure what she's making. I'm bringing an eggnog dessert, and some appetizers.

I have a question.....what kind of gravy do you make with ham?

Sadly, our Christmas plans have changed due to our snow in Portland, OR. My parents can't get out of their house. They weren't able to join us for our traditional Christmas Eve tonight. We won't be able to join them at their house tomorrow night for their traditional Christmas dinner. We hope we can make it to my inlaws for lunch, but it depends on the weather.

I am having the kids and grandkids all over. We are doing a brunch about 11:00.
Blueberry french toast
Apple french toast
scrambled eggs w/cheese
hash browns
Ham
fruit salad
lemon poppy seed bread

I guess thats about it.

we're having ham, broccoli, acorn squash and baked potatoes. I haven't had a baked potato in over a year. I can't wait.

All your dinners sound wonderful! We will be having Ham, scalloped potatoes, acorn squash, corn, dinner rolls and peach pie (DH's favorite). I may make a banana cream or lemon meringue for me this morn yet.

Turkey,stuffing,mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes for some,succatash with lima beans, corn and sweet peppers, homemade cranberry compote, apple and berry crisp with Devon Custard and mince tarts.

We are going to my step-sister's where we will have:

Judy's Fish Thing - it is an appetizer with scallops, shrimp, cod, cooked in a white wine sauce and then covered with buttered crumbs and cheese and baked in individual ramekins

Turkey dinner with all the trimmings - dressing (we make ours with savoury, not sage), orange-cranberry sauce, vegetables, gravy

Plum pudding (flamed) with brandy sauce and fruit salad for the diabetics

coffee and port

I can hardly wait!!

We are going to meet my friends and fellow rehabbers, Nara and Tanya, and their husbands at Moody Gardens, in Galveston, and eat at a buffet there. Tanya says in years past, they put on quite a spread....salmon, prime rib, turkey, lobster and about 100 desserts....but there was so much devastation on the island from Hurricane Ike, I don't know if they will go all out this year. Tanya went for Thanksgiving and said it was good but not as elaborate as in times past.

Brunch at our son and DIL- apple and cranberry stuffed pork loin roast, eggs, hash brown casserole, hot fruit compote and whatever else anyone decides to make. Merry Christmas everyone.

Going to oldest DD's at 1:00 to open our gifts as 'just our family'. Then at 2:00-2:30 my two sisters and their families will drop in.
We'll be having smoked turkey, and a Hormel spiral ham. I'm taking corn I froze this summer. Lots of left overs from our dinner here yesterday. So there will also be lasagna, and lots of finger foods.

Today it is just DH and me (and the mutts). so we are snacking... tomorrow we go to Va Beach to have our Christmas with our oldest daughter and her 3 kids. Her DH is in Navy and out to sea for his 6 month tour. Our oldest GS Ryan, 10, is cooking for us. we are having

Mac and Cheese, his is homemade, yum!

and our contribution, Meatballs and a fruit tray

oh yes The Happy Birthday Jesus cake that he has been making for several years.

Maybe not very Christmas-y but this is his menu, so we go with it. He is actually a very good cook!

We're having turdukin. This is the first year I made it.
Then mashed tados, little cabbages (brussel sprouts), salad and the rest of the stuff. Pickles etc.
Our dinner won't be until 6 PST.
Hope everyone who is ahead of us in time have enjoyed enjoyed their pigout(:-))

Christmas Eve DH and I hosted my brother. We had grilled steak, rice pilaf, glazed carrots, garlic bread, and tossed salad.

Later this afternoon, DH's daughters come by with his nieces and brother. I'm serving assorted drinks and appetizers followed by Lemon Chicken, roasted potatoes, corn casserole, green beans, white and green asparagus. Dessert will include about 6 more folks....homemade iced brownies, cherry pie, all my holiday cookies, cherry jello (DH's favorite..go figure!), and rainbow sorbet.
