I like them too. When I make the cookies that are supposed to have Hershey Kisses in them I prefer to use the chocolate stars. They're easier to bite into than the Kisses.

OMG...I love those too, but hadn't thought about them in years!!! Guess I'll be going to Wally World tomorrow!*S*

Forgot all about them I'm going to look for them next time I go to WM!!

I just used them last night!

Cynic.....now you tell me, when I no longer bake cookies. And if memory serves, the stars aren't individually wrapped. That would have been a time saving help.

Shirley

Ohh those do look more festive then the Hershey Kisses! I'll have to remember them next time! I used to love those when I was a kid-I thought they were so pretty! lol

Sandy, those look delicious! I need to pick some of those up to use instead of the Hershey Kisses I already have.

Our Walgreens has them.

I can't believe I've never had them!

Are they as good/better than Hershey kisses?

Once at Sharp Shopper I got Hershey kisses that were unwrapped. The bag said "for baking" and I had always wondered why they didn't package them unwrapped. Have not seen them again.

Sue

mmmmmmm, yes I remember them being much better than
Hersheys kisses. will have to pick some up and see if they live up to the memory.....

Sandy your cookies look delicious!

Somehow, the Kisses seem so hard these days where the stars were much more like biting into a, well, Hershey bar! The problem is that I'm not a big chocolate fan. I like white chocolate better. I do kind of like the "Hugs". But it seems to me I saw some white chocolate stars somewhere... or I could have been on a bender I suppose...

I never thought of them being more festive but now that you mention it, they are. Reminds me of the star on the tree. And I liked them for several reasons. They were cheaper, they didn't have to be individually unwrapped and they were easier to bite into.

And I get a kick out of seeing "mini" Hershey Kisses... aren't they what we used to call "chocolate chips"???

And Gadgets... guess you'll just have to start baking again! Feel free to send samples anytime you like! :)

I told Cheryl yesterday I wanted to get some Brach's Chocolate Stars the next time I went shopping. In she comes last night with a bag of them for me! She got them at Marsh grocery.

Sue

Mmmm..peanut butter blossoms...mmm! I could just reach out and snitch one of those cookies!

My grocery store has them in bulk. They have the stars, chocolate peanuts, chocolate malted milk balls, and chocolate raisins. Just dip the scoop in the bin and get as much as you want - and you can drop a few cents in a box if you just want a taste of one!

There is an old fashion dime store close to my daughter's inlaws and they still have the candy in the bins that we all used to see many years ago. So much fun going in there..

Susie

I haven't seen them for sale in years. I love the way they melt in your mouth!

I finally saw them I looked all over my WM but I was looiing for Nestles why I don't know. I didn't buy them they felt rather hard thru the bag. Next time I think I will.

Walmart sells chocolate drops in bags, in the candy section.

I like the Stars beacause you don't have to individually unwrap them like you do a Kiss. lol
Cream Drops don't taste near as good as they used to. We would get those in our Christmas candy bag at church every year and they were our favorites but they just don't taste the same anymore.

I was afraid of that. They used to be so nice and creamy but the last time I had them, probably 20 years ago, it was hard and crumbly. I thought they were old but I suspect it's a recipe change. Seems like so much changes. They change the recipes so often for the health nuts and they don't taste the same. I was at Walmart and looked for them there but didn't see anything. But they don't even carry their own mint cups anymore. They're a mint version of a peanut butter cup. They have the caramel ones and the peanut butter ones but not the mint. I can never go into that store and get everything I want. Argh!
