Walking the line early morning (meaning 8 am). I see who is getting early sunlight, how the pattern is striking the area reserved for the hosta under the pecan trees, and then I move a few pots around to help me better remember their names. Easier when arranged like a good hand of bridge. My last old timer to come up, the one which I hoped would be my lost Brother Stefan from PDN, seems to resemble Lederhosen, purchased at the same time. So now I discover TWO wrong selections from that one order. Instead of 2 plantaginea and 1 Lederhosen, it was reversed. Lovely plant though. Even though it had my DH, the madman on the riding mower, cut its tops off before I arrived to pot it up in MA. In the evening walkabout, I'm looking again for sun pattern, namely too intense on some plants, those pots can get really hot. Today I huffed and puffed until I moved the whiskey barrel containing a large bird of paradise to give more PM shade to the hosta neighbors. I found ONE slug beneath a ligustrum leaf in the pathetic Stained Glass pot, as if it needed more problems. Tomorrow I plan to wash its roots and give it some intensive care, for its days appear to be numbered. Meanwhile, its understudy stands ready in the wings. If it is healthy I might pot them together. My wild birds are beginning to ignore me as I stand there meditating over the hosta. Do they appreciate how concerned I've been to avoid use of poisonous chemicals because I love having them around? So many babies this year. It's wonderful.

Natal, small world! Did you know that "Breaking Bad" films some it's episodes right across the street from us? I know that they filmed quite a bit for this season nearby. They shot a couple of their "shoot out" scenes for this season in the road near my house. They posted notices on our mailboxes ahead of time to warn us, so that we wouldn't all freak out when we heard gun shots (LOL!). We didn't but our dogs did! I'd walk the dogs in the mornings and the actors would be wandering up and down my little street/road talking on their cell phones. The main road would be lined up in both directions with many MANY cars, trucks and big white vans hauling props and whatever. We don't live in Albuquerque where they shoot their city and city house scenes, but north of there in the mountains. They use our little local library just down the road from us to park the actor's private trailers and the caterer's trailers while they shoot. I am constantly amazed at how many people, trucks, props and miles of wire/lines they need every day that they film! I don't watch the series myself, but if you see scenes this season with a lovely, LARGE adobe hacienda, an old windmill, (gorgeous) pool scenes with several guest houses in the foreground and mountains and mesas in the (close) background, a cool small log cabin guest house, or drop-dead interior hacienda home views, that's my neighbor's home that BB rents occasionally to film at. BTW, they just announced (locally) that this will be "Breaking Bad's" last season. Lynn

That was the Mother's Day show but I did catch the end of this rerun today. I was also LOL'ing at the hula hooping baby. I loved the little one that was laughing so hard, too. :)

Didn't finish. Scrapped it after watching about half. Took it off of the TiVo schedule for next week. It's almost a signal when they try to grab your attention right off with random sex, Why??? i guess others like to WATCH? I enjoy several shows where they TALK a lot about it but don't find it necessary to be graphic...and I love Big Bag, Mike & Molly and others of the same genre. I sure wish there was some network shows I could watch with my grandkids like we used to do with our own kids.
