LOL We do!
I made a pot of chicken noodle soup. We had toast to dunk and go with it.

Lunch for dinner per usual.

Pleasure of dining with two friends.

Two of us had Monte Cristo sandwiches with raspberry sauce for dipping.

Other had puff pastry mozzarella and tomato pizza! Tasted hers and it was fabulous!

Baked beans with smoked loin! That is what Dean is taking to work for potluck tomorrow, so we are having the 'extras'.

out of a package tonight, but was quite tasty (chicken parmesan) and enough for lunch tomorrow for both of us. it was from costco...

Salad and Hamburger Helper. I spent all day finishing up my Christmas shopping. Took DH to the jewelry store, showed him a nice bracelet for our younger daughter. Then he went to a music store and bought an acoustic guitar for our older daughter. He always gets them a special gift, just from Daddy.

Homemade corn chowder and a turkey burger. It's definitely soup weather.

Rice penne with asparagus - covered with a white cream sauce, hot dinner rolls on the side!

I tried the rice pasta when I was following a gluten free diet. It is really good, better than wheat pasta IMO. They sell it at my Walmart too which makes it convenient.

I made a pot of ham and 7-bean soup with diced carrots, onion and celery, garlic, Rotel tomatoes and a dash of red pepper. It was nice and warming.

Made homemade caramels this afternoon. Time consuming, but not difficult. Man, are they good!

DH made dinner tonight. I had to go get Bobby's new prescription filled. He grilled steaks, mashed potatoes (Country Crock) and carrots. He had dinner on the table when I walked in. He also did the cleanup.

I made Hamburger soup...and served cheese and chopped up dill pickles on the side, just in case any of them wanted Cheese burger soup. That's what I had...cheese and pickles please.

It was good and everybody had seconds

French onion soup and 1/2 chicken salad sandwich....courtest of Panera (we were out buying a Christmas tree)

DH and I had chili. I had my own over spaghetti.

But I know the kids aren't real crazy about chili, so I took pity on them. I had 1/2 lb. chicken breast I needed to use up. So I cut it up in small pieces, dipped in egg, coated with what I had on hand- bread crumbs, corn meal, pepper, paprika and dried parsley. Fried it. Turned out really great, they devoured it with fruit and cheese quesadillas (it was sort of clean out the fridge night for them).

We had tacos-YUM!!

But DH would have loved to been at Gayle's house-he loves "home cookin" type food!

Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread...

nita--don't you say a silent "Thank You" to Country Crock for those mashed potatoes? I'll never peel another one!

Grilled MahiMahi with mango salsa, brown rice and steamed carrots. We ate on the lani by candlelight.

My daughter mixed all of us a salad then about an hour later
we had steak-umms on nice rolls and toppings along with french
fries and tator tots. Very easy clean up for me while she gave
Makayla and Kaden a bath. Chili sure sounds good, so
since it is to get colder this weekend maybe we will have some.

I had two pieces of baklava. It came from walmart and I didn't think it would be good, but it was delicious. Jody took his deckhand to the bus station to go home to Alabama, and got a sandwich somewhere along the line.

I cooked chicken legs for the new kitten, my old chihuahua and for the baby possums and the sick one that I am taking care of.

You folks are always inspiring me to try new dishes and they are always great. How about some recipes?
