real simple after cleaning and wrapping presents!

fish, mashed, and dh's fave green peas (yuck out of can!)

I bought a cross-rib steak yesterday. Instead of making swiss steak or other long cooking recipe, I marinated it several hours in soy sauce, red wine vinegar, honey, oil and garlic.
Put it on the stove-top cast-iron grill. Worked fine, but what a mess of the grill. Blech. And the spatters all over the stove, walls and floor.
I don't grill too much, now I know why!

Baked potatoes and frozen corn. Ice cream for dessert....after I scrub the floor.

Miss Myrs's bbq for her fantastic brunswick stew and a rib with her homemade white bbq sauce for the rib. Yumster

I made ham and cheese omelets toast and hash browns. bought some great fresh hash browns in the dairy case. Simply Potatoes. These were the southwest style, Spicy and good!

Tomorrow, I'm thinking tuna salad at Jasons's Deli. I love their tuna

Hot corn bread and warmed-up bean soup. And a big mug of cold milk. That's what I refer to as "eating high on the hog".

Couldn't ask for better or more.

Baby spinach and arugula with roasted wild mushrooms, cured bacon goat cheese and a whole grained mustard vinaigrette....main course, Jumbo lump crab cakes served on a bed of risotto with caramelized onions and roasted asparagus. It was our wine and dine group Christmas dinner and everything was yummy. I brought half of it home and will have it tomorrow night for dinner. It's a good thing, too because I have a big day tomorrow with lots of running around to do after my luncheon.
