What's for dinner tonight?

I've been doing a little cleaning today. Had to clean and steam floor. Tonight we're having curried chicken with quinoa. The recipe sounds good and maybe I'll like the quinoa better if I do as Jasdip suggested and not cook it so long.

I've got a ground turkey meat loaf, mashed potatoes, spinach, corn and..... a Fresh Strawberry pie..YUM
Patti, you gotta try the pie recipe, it looks so good. I'll let you know how it turns out. Its in Our recipes, there is a link for it there. Very easy to make.

We had hot beef sandwiches. Today was my first day back at work (started back part time) and I was exhausted. I slept all afternoon.

We are in Jacksonville, Florida. Our Goddaughter and her husband took us out to a Lebonese restaurant for dinner. I had some sort of salad that was wonderful. Also had appetizers that were so good. They are vegan so I had what Leslie had and really enjoyed it. Mike had something with lamb and said it was delicious. Leslie and Tom go to this restaurant quite often. We declined dessert and sat talking for a little while longer. The owner sent us over complimentary dessert and it was sooo good. The owner was the one who seated us and came over several times to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. Maybe we will go there for dinner again tomorrow night and we will pick up the check.

I'll give the actual recipe, but I put more celery, carrots and potatoes in. I don't measure, just chop, till I have as much as I want. I didn't have green pepper. I also had to add another can of tomatoes today. As I said, it grew. I started out in my enamel cast-iron dutch oven and had to transfer everything to my large stock pot! Hearty Cabbage Soup In a large pot saute: 1 lb ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1/2 cup diced celery 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 garlic clove, chopped Saute until the redness disappears from the meat. Add: 2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp paprika 1 28-oz can tomatoes 1 can tomato paste 2 cups beef broth 2 cups hot water 3 tbsp parsley flakes hot sauce to taste (optional) 2 cups diced potatoes, peeled 1 cup diced carrot Combine thoroughly. Simmer, uncovered 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add 6-7 cups coarsely chopped cabbage, (approximately 1 small head) Combine and simmer, covered, 1 hour longer. You may need to add 1-2 cups hot water.

Last night on the coast. We're going to a little hole in the wall bar we found in the middle of some seafood processing plants. They make everything from scratch and everything is so good. We decided to have our last meal here there. We will split an order of handmade jalepeno poppers and I am going to have handmade onion rings and grilled halibut. I think hubby is planning on fish and chips. One good thing about going home is that we'll be back to consuming fewer calories, more veggies and no deep fried foods. I love anything deep fried, but I know it's not good for me or my figure. :-)

OMG, Jinx, that’s exactly what I told DH I wanted for our birthday dinner this Saturday night! Seriously 😂! Our birthdays are just 4 days apart (4th & 8th) and so, with no indoor dining here still and him pushing no meats, I told him last night that I wanted all of those- lobster tail, crab legs and (my favorite) Creamy Orange Jalapeño Scallops- for our celebratory dinner. DH laughed, but I’m getting at least two! Come on over and you can eat and celebrate with us!

Cheryl, Amber, Alyssa and I met up with Norm and Kevin at the Golden Corral this afternoon and also met up with Norm's brother and his wife. We had a great lunch so no one is hungry for anything this evening. We also did our grocery shopping and I am a bit tired.

We were seeing Mom most the day today. Got home at 5, and I just made pancakes for dinner.
I then got ready for a 7pm app't with a client.

Now I'm hungry.

Was doing a lot of 'little' odds and ends today--straightening up after the weekend, a few local errands, etc. So was glad to have leftover stir-fry that I quickly made into fried rice (Doubt it took 5 minutes to get dinner on the table).
