What's for dinner Tuesday 10th

I have smothered steak in tomato gravy and rice for the gravy. Lots of big fresh mushrooms in the gravy along with onions and garlic. Good down home comfort food.

I had chicken and noodles and some lima beans.

Snowed again here in Ohio. About 3 inches. I'm ready for spring.

Nita, fingers crossed for Bobby. They are so young--which works in their favor when it comes to the future. (I vaguely remember those days!) Love that tilapa. It's delicious without a lot for prepping. Enjoy! Glenda, LOL! Who in the world can resist a KK donut? Haven't had one for a while, but it sure sounds delicious. Shirley--oooh, I want meatloaf with a big slice of onion on it. Whatcha' cooking tomorrow? Georgysmom, I just love Newman's stuff. The olive oil is delicious, BTW. I've had their pasta sauce but don't remember much about it. The good thing about buying them is a percentage goes to charities--or at least it used to. Jasdip, honey, I'm glad you had a good day, but it sounds really cold to me. Love your dinner! Guess I shouldn't tell you we'll have temps in the low 80's the rest of the week. :-( I hope our winter isn't over--we haven't had much of one so far. Kayjones, got a couple of chairs at your table that aren't occupied? We could be there by midnight ;-) That sounds wonderful! This is such a hard time to work in the yard--especially in the northern part of Florida. But we're all in for a wonderful week with the warm temperatures. Enjoy!

Grilled some salmon on a cedar plank, always so good. Made a salad with greens and marinated veggies from the garden, a little rice pilaf. Awfully hot here today, even though the patio and back porch are shaded after about ten, you could feel the heat radiating from the concrete. Glad that the salmon didn't take very long!

Leftovers here, too. I'm going to make chicken fajitas with the chicken from last night, plus grilled green, yellow sweet peppers, and onions, avocado, chopped lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream, all on a flour tortilla. I'll mix up a little fresh salsa, too, I guess. Raven, I hope that your power comes back on SOON!

I made a pile of zucchini noodles, sauteed them briefly in a little butter with some minced garlic and served it up with grilled shrimp and smoked sausage kabobs. I steamed some broccoli, too, to stir in with the zoodles. It's been very rainy here and very steamy when it isn't raining. No sitting on the patio, that's for sure.

I have been gone all day again. I just had a couple of the leftover ham and cheese sandwiches on little Hawaiian rolls, an oatmeal cookie and a banana. I could go to bed very soon. It is very breezy out today and cold.

Christmas potluck and we had at least 25 there.
So you can imagine all the assortments of goodies we had to eat.

My favorite: warm moist buttermilk cornbread and I poured molasses over it and it was to die for. Gal friend said she made it just for me :o) So I had to have 2 pieces.

For dinner I made chat n chew. Got this recipe from Food Network years ago. Don't know why they called it this.

Lots of cheese, heavy cream & elbows. Hubby loves it. I had a cube steak.

Very cold in TN. It was 17 this morning & a little snow.

Comfort food for us too - a very simple meal of lima beans and brown rice. It was 70 degrees here when I left for work this morning & 50 when I left the office this evening. We've been having a lot of days like this.

Just got in from Kam's basketball practice, have to leave in about an hour and a half to his Winter Band Concert.

Glenda, was that the international pot luck? What did you end up taking?

Robert is grilling a thick steak that we will split and we'll have a big mixed salad. Everything is almost done......the steak smells mouth watering!

Where is Patti? I hope she is okay.

We had doggy bag left overs from last night. I had the remainder of a 1/2 roast chicken and Dad had is calves liver. Both were very good.

We finished up the leftover scalloped potatoes. They taste even better the following day (or so).

Made sausages and red sauce (browned sausages served with a red sauce of ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, worcestershire and mustard, onions and celery). Broccoli on the side.
