Pam, yes I can taste one speck of pepper in a dish. Normally, I love pepper. I can't remember whether it was the chemo or radiation that caused it, but I do know my taste buds are whacky now. Sure hope they go back to normal soon. Panera's broccoli/cheese is my fav! Raven, what can I say but "YUM". You are such a good cook! Laura, I'm surprised you are able to eat after Glenda fed you, but a little chicken stir-fry never hurt anyone :-) Shirley, I haven't tried the chipped beef. It looks like that polar vortex is on it's way out so we will all be happy to get out of the house come the weekend! Kittiemom, enjoy the pot pie! That sounds so good, terri! Actually, everyone's supper (or lunch) sounds good. Robert asked for oven baked chicken pieces again. I basted the legs and thighs with a doctored BBQ sauce (added tobacco and apple vinegar) for the first half, then made a glaze out of that plus apricot preserves. It is sooooooo good! Sweet, sour, and spicy. Also made a batch of cheese biscuits and my cole slaw. He was a happy man! I'm always glad when he actually asks for something in particular....he helps with supper, by the way. He likes kitchen duty.

Thanks, all. Sure wish I felt as good as they say I'm doing! But I'm getting stronger--couldn't have made that chicken salad two weeks ago, much less the second trip to the store. Dr. told me I wouldn't wake up one morning and suddenly be able to eat. Rather, it wil happen gradually. I'm so darned impatient. Sue, I'm not a big fan of blue cheese either. I love a good homemade BC salad dressing, though. I haven't had Spam or years. Back in the '70's when they had the meat boycott and people gave up meat for a week, we had Spam one night.
