Just as an update to my post above, I had sent T+M seeds an email complaining about my order. Someone called me back very soon after and said that T+M has been sold to Gardens Alive and is currently "in transition", and that is why orders placed over the holiday were delayed. So presumably once their move to Gardens Alive is complete, they should be back to normal speed (although, their shipping costs are still high!). I just wanted to update as they do seem to have a valid reason for their current delays.

Songsparrow is not that type of nursery. The closest you will come is when they lower some prices on their website. Songsparrow has developed many of the plants in their catalog. When you are the original breeder you don't need discounts to sell. If people want the plants they will pay what the price is if not there is still the wholesale market to place the plants. If you see a plant that you like do a web search to see if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Most companies, but not all, price according to what the plant costs them. If the plant grows slowly or takes extra work or is a specialty the plant will cost more. Save your money since it is getting close to the end of the planting season for next years purchases. One more leftover lunch is $$$ toward what you really want.
