If your home was built within the last ten years, then chances are it came with those hideous builder-grade "boob lights" — you know, the ceiling lights with the round dome and screws smack dab in the middle that make them look like a silicone-injected mammary? If you haven't replaced them already, then you're probably dying to. With so many attractive options out there, it's a real wonder why builders still stick with the plain (buxom) Jane version. — Laura from JourneyChic
This gorgeous, layered lamp reminds me of those pretty lotus votive holders I've seen all over the Internet. Those may be ubiquitous, but this light will make your room unique.
This blinged-out ceiling light is by far my favorite find. It would add a bit of glamour to any space. If it weren't out of my budget, then I would buy it for my daughter's nursery in a heartbeat.
Perfect for a powder room or small nook, the mirrors on this fixture will make that single bulb's light dance around.
This fabulous fixture reminds me of a bird's nest, albeit a nest for a very high-fashion, diamond jewelry–wearing bird.
Shimmering and sophisticated, this sparkling beauty is perfect for a modern space. I can see it in a room that features a little lucite.
This shiny chrome fixture looks like something straight off the Titanic. I would mount it in a mudroom or bathroom.
The modern flowers adorning this ceiling light would look fun in a teen girl's room.
Tiny quatrefoils and pretty scrollwork make this lamp beautifully feminine. I can see it in a dressing room or girl's bedroom.
Twinkle, twinkle little star. My, what an interesting light you are!
Loop-de-loop! This light's modern swirls would add a bit of whimsy to your bathroom.
Your little captain would love a nautical light like this. It's perfect for a little boy's room.
This sophisticated fixture is a great alternative to a pendant light. It sits close to the ceiling and the crystal drop adds interest and glamour.
Such a stately, sharp-looking light would be right at home in a gentleman's study.
This beaded ceiling light has a nice rustic feel to it. There's a totally fabulous matching chandelier too.
Although this light is described by the manufacturer as Art Deco, it reminds me of a computer chip. I can see this in a high-tech child's room.
This light is a great choice if you love the look of lanterns, but don't have the ceiling height for a hanging version.
I've admired these mother-of-pearl fixtures for quite a while now. I love the warm glow they bring.
I'm a sucker for quatrefoil, and this brassy beauty would be a great addition to my master bathroom.
This ceiling fixture would bring great texture to a neutral room. I love the basket-weave look.
This is the simplest and least expensive fixture I can find that still looks interesting. I love the pleated shade, and expect it will end up in my daughter's nursery.
