Prayers going out for both right now . When my daughter was 2 she had recurring ear infections , one right after she would finsih up the medicine, she would come down with it again. So her doctor recommended tubes be put in . She had the operation and the infections were history. It was a year later before I had to take her in with a respiratory infection. If the infection is affecting his ability to learn to speak, he needs that surgery to put the tubes in ASAP.

The best news,just as we all hoped! Dexascan is a piece of cake - I used to do them when I worked in the Rheumatology office. Bone-building drugs may be prescribed, but they work slowly, so 6 weeks one way or the other won't make a huge difference. There are lots of reasons you can have osteopenia or osteoporosis - drug therapies, both chemo and steroids, being too thin (being under 127 pounds is a marker for risk), family history, early menopause, low calcium and Vitamin D, and the list goes on. For now, take care of yourself, be a good girl and do what the docs tell you to do. We'll all be here, thinking of you and cheering you on until those crutches are tucked away in the closet.

Stacy, Glad you're feeling better each day. Just take care of yourself and don't think because you feel better that you're back to normal.......cuz your body WILL get even with you and remind you who is boss!! Walk but keep the distance close to home..........I walked 6 blocks to the park with my daughter and she had to go get the car to come pick me up I just didn't have the energy to get back home. Take care of you for all of us!! I suggest lots of computer time..........I know some games that will keep you busy for a few hours. Diane

Thank you all. I felt such a calmness that I knew it had to come from the good thoughts. Well, the judge refused to hear our case today. We got all settled in the courtroom and our attorneys briefed the judge on our case and then she said she needed more information on our retirement accounts before she would continue. So, basically nothing happened. After we get the information she wants, they will give us a new trial date. So.... the drama continues. I do appreciate all of your good thoughts.
