They let me come home (actually we got a hotel for 2 nights because the way our 5th wheel is parked the step is very high so Brian thought it best for a couple days to stay here)!! Which is great since I won't have to worry about cleaning!!

I do still hurt of course butttttt I can now go 6 to 8 hours with out a pain pill where just yesterday it was 4 to 6 hours.....

So I am going to take a shower then take a nice stroll down to the lobby and back...and I get high speed internet...what more could you ask for? LOL T

Good going Stacy. Just don't let the pain meds wear off before you take the next one. Stay on top of them with your meds. It'll get better each day. In a couple weeks you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner

thanks all. I went by Berkeley Hort and picked up a new plant. I only lost a week... unfortunately their selection of early gals was quite slim, but I saw they just got Marianna's Peace in. Yay!! Stacie, I haven't been on here in a while but I'm sorry to hear you're going through this stuff. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were my husband's sister - she just had her fourth child a year ago, had gall bladder surgery and is now going through an addiction battle as well. When I talked to her on the phone the other day, her speech was so slurred I could barely understand her. The difference is, you are seeking help - and for that I am so glad to hear. Part of SIL"s problem is she is married to a guy who is not very supportive and doesn't understand it at all, which doesn't help. I'm glad to see you have a good support system in place and things are coming together for you. You and your family are in my prayers!

Sorry how this has worked out for you, how frustrating! I'm not a pro, but here's my two cents. If it were me, I would get a packet of small post-it flags and use them to go around to all the detail "picky" areas, like where the shoe molding wasn't painted at the miter cut, wasn't caulked, etc., and flag ALL the areas you want the crew to fix when they come. The white shoe molding under the cabinets is just laughable. You will likely need to find a match/similar color yourself, or have the floor co custom stain new shoe to match the cabs (although they haven't proven themselves that reliable so I think the best choice is to search out the exact product you want, as you will care about the match more than them) and get it to the site and have them install it. If the floor is not level/popping, is there a warranty on their labor? That does not seem acceptable for the company to claim "level" is not a base install requirement. One pic where you asked should there be caulk - I wondered if this already had that shoe molding in place or if it was added after the install? I hope they left room for an expansion joint. Not to pile on with another complaint, but this photo that shows the flooring from a wider view looks like the joints are too repetitive, does not look very random - perhaps there were inexperienced installers involved? I would have a plumber come and reset both toilets, asap, before that leak ruins your flooring. If there is a way to turn off the water to that leaking toilet and get the water out now, I'd do that then wait for the plumber. Be advised that even with a plumber setting it, you may have some wax squeeze up through the bolt holes when weight is applied to the toilet and it settles in with initial usage. I do not think I would have expected toilet reset as part of the price I paid the floor co, unless it was specifically discussed and set out in the contract, as that is an entirely different trade and a floor co isn't necessarily qualified to do that. In our area, only licensed plumbers are permitted to do that (although I have had one tile guy color outside the lines and set a toilet for me ... shhhh!)

That's her, drama queen. The other thing about her is she acts almost bi-polar. I don't mean to make light of a real issue, but she goes from bubbly to vicious. She can be verbally abusive to people. I guess that isn't bi-polar more like emotionally unstable. Gayle - a few of us tried the sit-down last year and in the middle of it realized we were getting nowhere. She instantly puts everything off onto other people. She has for years been the person that we all said "Yea she drives you crazy, but you can't help but like her." I don't really know how to describe it, but she started to do and say things to me and a few of our other friends that made some of us take a step back. Susan - That's really how it's been for a while now, but it sure isn't easy to maintain that smile. I can honestly say that I haven't once played into her hand by stooping to her level, but it hasn't been easy. That is why I wrote today. I really need to vent and say a few things that weren't nice. I can't talk about her to people I know because they all know her. If I do that then I am just talking behind her back the same way she is. UGH! All of a sudden I feel like I am back in Jr. High. Thanks for your support and allowing me to blow off some steam. :o)

I AM so glad to be out....I look like a junky I swear if they took any more blood from me they were going to have to give me even more. But I do feel lots better....I have to take now 4 iron pills a day for my blood since just the one kind didn't work..and I dread that if I don't eat with them they make me sick and then ya get that bathroom problem so not looking forward to that...well I am going to get off of here and just go now and read. I have been up up since 12:30 and think I might need a nap or at least a rest. Thanks again guys for rooting for me thru this we all know I am a big baby!! Stacy

Staci, don't even think about cleaning. Did the doctor give you a list of Do/Don'ts? It's been years since my surgery, but you couldn't vacuum, lift anything over 5 pounds and a bunch of other stuff. Please be careful when you go home.

Stacy, as far as the "bathroom thing" caused by all the iron tablets, you might check with your Dr. about changing you to a time released iron capsule. That helps a lot.

Glad to hear they "sprung you". Even a hotel is better than a hospital room. No one wakes you up constantly. I never sleep in the hospital...too noisy. And as Leslie said...take your pain meds before they wear off. You heal better when you aren't in pain. Also...walk, walk, walk. That helps keep gas from building up...that you can't get rid of. And it helps with the healing.

Next week at this time,you'll forget how bad it was! LOL! I stayed on the couch for about a week,then went to yardsales that weekend.Not many...but still went.And when the staples come out....you'll see a BIG difference.Always so nice to get those things out.I had to have Larry help me shower,I couldn't bend for awhile.I'm still glad I had it done....wish I'd had it done about 20 yrs sooner!

Glad you're feeling better each day. Just take care of yourself and don't think because you feel better that you're back to normal.......cuz your body WILL get even with you and remind you who is boss!! Walk but keep the distance close to home..........I walked 6 blocks to the park with my daughter and she had to go get the car to come pick me up I just didn't have the energy to get back home.
Take care of you for all of us!!
I suggest lots of computer time..........I know some games that will keep you busy for a few hours.

stacy you're so lucky! i had complications and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks...all i can say the food was so bad i lost 25 lbs, lol...and i sure admire your doc on the iron theraphy...mine waited a while (should have had something asap) do check on those time released ones...

bless your dh for getting a room...i think that's very sweet...lot of guys would have said tuff...
