Need prayer and good thoughts

My soon to be ex-husband and I are going to court tomorrow. (Tuesday) I would really appreciate prayer for me and for my attorney. I want/need to be strong. I don't want to cry. I need my attorney to lay the facts out clearly.

You don't know how I dread it.

Oh yes, many, many prayers going out for you. My DD is going to court Thurs for same thing. Her soon to be ex has been trying to get her to come back to him after he left and moved in with his girlfriend. They didn't last too long, so he wants DD back and had the nerve to tell his lawyer they were reconciling. What a bald faced lie.

Prayers for you. Pick a saying, verse or a scripture to keep repeating during the hearing. Say it to yourself of course :)

I will hope for good news for Bonnie, and will look for it when I get home tomorrow. We are driving my sister through a projected snowstorm (3 hours) to see the gyn.onc. to see if the spots are cancer. She lives alone and her life has been severely curtailed by health issues. I would appreciate prayers for her. Her name is Linda and she is very scared.

I watched this this morning, and shed a bucket of tears....it was so hard after the rough brooding of the eagle pair. I have to get a life, I think, as the Oregon nesting almost did me in! The nest was high in the Cascades, and parent sat on the nest through a blizzard, and snow covering her and the nest. She eventually realized the egg was not viable, and her keening cry was awful, even though I could not hear her. A pair of eaglets in California were attacked by a rogue eagle, but survived their tumble out of the nest. I'm so impressed with the biologists involved with this work

jamie..it's ok to cry...know i did, but by the time we went to court i knew it was for the best. it's been a huge amount of time for me, (been married for 38 years, 4 kids and 7 grands) but it was a part of me, and always will be.

Thank you all. I felt such a calmness that I knew it had to come from the good thoughts.

Well, the judge refused to hear our case today. We got all settled in the courtroom and our attorneys briefed the judge on our case and then she said she needed more information on our retirement accounts before she would continue. So, basically nothing happened.

After we get the information she wants, they will give us a new trial date. So.... the drama continues.

I do appreciate all of your good thoughts.

Oh don't that just take the cake? Don't give in Jamie. You'll do just fine when it finally happens. You may cry, but so what. It's part of your life. It's not what you went into the marriage thinking would happen. And it does hurt when it doesn't work. Just know you gave it your best shot, and your all. You'll be better for it.

I agree, crying at a time like that would not be unreasonable, Jamie. You are mourning the loss of a loved one, he's just not dead.

Keep yer chin up, girl. Just remember that you will get thru this. I'm thinking about you and I hope the drama is over for you soon. It's time to get about the business of living!
