A man came on, he had written a letter to Ellen that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on the show, she would be in the audience.

They introduced him and he went into the audience and asked her. She said "No, no I can't".

The show then quickly went to another segment, gift give away.

What happened? Anyone have a clue?

It's a 'set-up'. I has happened every day (some sort of 'gag' guest or 'gag' conversation going on) and then suddenly you hear the GONG sound....and it's that days GIFT Give-Away. So, not to worry...it wasn't that the guy was being turned down.....they were both acting.

I like this quote, it's so much more fun to look for a potential than to contemplate at all my flaws. Quite a few years ago, I made the decision to have all debts paid and the house top-to-bottom clean by the last day of the old year, thus permitting me to celebrate the New Year with a clean slate. I haven't always succeeded, but those years which saw me clear in finance and clean in residence have always seemed to go smoother than the years in which one or the other was left incomplete.

Hey ya! I hope everyone had a nice long weekend to enjoy. Beautiful weather here! Sherri, wish I could keep her this size. MaryB, a diagram for you :). Lots more stuff in there not pictured. Brugmansia 'Creamsickle' three blooms on a heat stressed plant and Coleus 'Lava Rose'- my favorite coleus this year. My business is slow as expected when starting out. I have a partial website (go figure?), my license, business cards. Made a bag with my logo on it that I carry around. I have about 6 websites going right now. Enough to pay the business bills. BTW, Gloria I have a bill for you coming your way today :). Love ya, Hottie! CindyO, you are about 350 miles for me, well duh, I guess you already know how far. I would love to come! I can drop my back seat in the Blazer and make lots of room, but I would have to leave the kids with you so I could haul the loot back home. Love that seedling of yours! I just picked the last of the seedpods yesterday. Now we have about 1000 seeds to figure out where to plant. Marea! YAY, a tropical! Diane, got your test email. Debbie, happy B-day! SW bought a brand called Duron. Duron's palette had TB. Golds and yellows from SW notoriously have a lil lean to green for me too. TB was no exception. I had original big chips of original TB and after several samples and even quarts, it never came out right from SW. So, I mixed my own to match the chips I had from Duron and I have it mixed at BenM. I don't remember how or why I sent samples to Ellen - I think she may have had a client who requested it but she could find a chip or something. Anyhoo, I remember offering her a chip of my mix. And she ended up calling it Champagne Gold. Her FS version is very pretty altho defintely different from my not FS version. Neither has that skunky green dimension of green like what often comes out of SW. I know everyone was losing sleep over the provenance of TB in FS so I'm glad I could fill in all those blanks for ya. ;)

I watched Ellen the other day and Ellen congratulated a lady in the audience on her pregnancy... the lady said she wasn't pregnant. Oops! Then came the gift-giving. Odd, I thought! I guess if I watched it everyday I would have 'got it'.

what did you think of paris jackson? i thought she was very composed, esp as a sub guest...i do wish they had left blanket home, though...he seems a bit confused and feel he really doesn't get it yet..

had to lol about her playing football in the same position as her older brother..

I was really shocked at that young lady's composure, she did a wonderful job, especially since she said she was so nervous.

Ellen does that every day, and she often does the same thing when she is gifting an individual. The recipient will be selected to play a game, the other contestants will be staff members that either lose or she disqualifies.
