My big "hit" was the Lionel Electric Train that I bought for my husband. He really loved it.

I heard about the Flingshot monkeys but couldn't find them in the store. My nephew's son would have liked that.

Biggest hits here were a Kinect with Joy Ride game, Iron Man that shoots missiles, a Playstation game called Move or something like that, and each little one loved their backpack/sleeping bag combo that I had stuffed with little toys, books and candy as "camping supplies."

I think several of my gifts were hits! 2 people on my list received some homemade Vanilla Extract that I'd made. I lucked out and found bottles at Hobby Lobby that had "Extract" written on them. As an after-thought, I ordered a couple of sets of stainless steel mini-measuring spoons (Drop,Tad,Smidgen,Pinch and Dash) and attached those to the bottles~ Kinda like 2 gifts in one!

My bestest friend loves anything PURPLE. I saw a purple teapot at TJ Maxx that was screaming "Get me...Get me". So, I got it, added a Friendship Teapot poem and attached that to the handle..and she loved it!

I made my sister a Glass Block Light with a picture of her dog! It was a BIG hit!

My biggest hit was a Barbie boom box with 2 microphones for my 2 year old GD~~~she grabbed the mic and went off singing and performing before we could pop in a CD~~I cried watching her and her 20 year old sister singing (twosie is just singing whatever)but big sis is singing to Taylor Swift facing each other.Baby girl copies every motion big sis does too cute~~~she was very serious about it.

I also gave 2 year old a Tiana stuffed princess doll in a Tinker Bell reusable bag~~if you ask her who gave you the gift she says Tinker Belll I love it~~~those were my two best hits!

Actually, 2 gifts I gave were big hits. I gave my 87 year old husband a B B gun. He is always borrowing my grandsons to kill bats that get in our sheds. They poop all over everything. I know they are beneficial outside but not inside. He was thrilled, he never owned one as a child. The other well received gift was to my 15 year old granddaughter. I gave her a turquoise light weight jacket.
She even slept in it. I saw her in church this morning with it on wearing a matching headband. She changed her profile picture on facebook to a photo of her wearing it with the hood on.

Really pretty blue and white University of KY scarves for the exchange students, UK hoodie for Maria, Sims PC game for Lauren, screams over books from both exchange students, including one meant for Lauren...don't know how Johanna got that one but she did...so I bought it again for Lauren, didn't tell Johanna. Johanna also loved the sweatpants I got her. Alex...hard to tell, maybe the umbrella as he is walking all over campus and made a comment after he opened the umbrella I got him how much he needed it...or the Amazon.com gift card. He spent it on a bunch of books that night.

I can add another hit~~we got DS (27) a GoPro camera. It goes on his mountain biking helmet so he can record his rides or he can record his buddies ride, just got a text from him that it worked great, he said it takes great still pics also~~another SCORE here:)

Santa brings most of the gifts at our house. Dd (7) loved her American Girl doll clothes that I bought on clearance and the two cute pullover dresses that I found for $5 each earlier this month. My 10 yo loved the digital camera I bought on Cyber Monday. My 8 yo is a tough cookie. He wasn't as thrilled with his gifts. He wanted an IPOD touch and a computer, but got neither.

There were so many good gifts yesterday, I'll list them all.

Oldest son asked for a Kindle. I told him no way, no how, too expensive. Buy your own. Well, he spoils me rotten for my birthday and Christmas, I ordered it. I paid the cheapest shipping and it was here less than 48 hours later! (note to self: never pay expensive shipping!) When he opened his first gift, he laughed but was disapointed. It was a Ken Doll....... He was in complete shock when his next gift was the Kindle.

Younger son asked for tail lights for the Mazda MX3 he's re-doing. I told him I would never buy car parts for a gift for anyone. His father has been asking for 27 years, and he's still waiting. He was so happy when he opened his gift and saw the tail lights. He installed them an hour later.

My daughter is happy with everything we buy her. This year it was a make up mirror with different light settings. She always uses a compact mirror which makes me crazy. She was overjoyed.

Her boyfriend loves anything Burberry. I bought him a bottle of London cologne and it came with a free bath towel. My daughter surprised him so bad, he was shaking. She bought him something he's been asking for for 3 years: a Burberry trench coat. A Burberry store opened in Calgary recently and she was finally able to make his dream come true.

My husband loved the new leather jacket I bought him, but we need to exchange it for one a size smaller.

And I loved all the gifts I received from everyone. A new Canon G12 point and shoot for my purse (a.k.a., a mini dslr), and an L series lens (the 24 -105 IS L USM), make up, candies, blouse, t-shirt, PS3 controller, perfume.... I'm sure there's more.

I bought my screaming monkeys from Handheld items. I paid $2.50 each plus shipping, now they are $3.99 each plus free shipping which is way cheaper than most of the other places. They really are a fun gift!

One of the biggest hits was the doll stroller with the baby doll for my youngest GGD.=almost two. She tried to put all her stuff in the stroller, She is quite possive, and wants everything--as do most two year olds.

The biggest hit was the red Wii that we gave Chloe. We'd been telling her that it wasn't a possibility, but then we decided to get it.

She also adores the Real Construction set that my sister got her. It's got "wood" made of dense styrofoam, plastic screws and nails, and very real-looking plastic tools. She built all day yesterday.

My sister loved the inexpensive GPS system I got her, but her favorite gift was the six boxes of Wheat Thins Stix that I taped together to look like a big box. She was so surprised!

I think the biggest hit was the mop and broom I got for the twins.Rowdy was most the enthusiastic and Jilly not so much.LOL Rowdy LOVES to clean.I looked for child size cleaning sets online and they were all so expensive.So I went to the dollar tree and bought 2 mops and 2 brooms and DS cut the handles off to kid size.That was the first thing Rowdy grabbed! I taught him well!LOL

I think everyone liked the "dead presidents" I gave them! lmbo

My dad liked the State quarters and framed holder that was from me and my brother. And his gf liked the Willow tree angel I gave her. She collects them. I didn't know that either.

We gave my younger son a new chainsaw...the older one got the equivalent of cash...those were both well received...now if it would just warm up a bit so DS can get out there and saw up some wood for our fireplaces...

I was at a small leather store in Indiana in september and had a notebook made for my hubster with his name on it...he writes everything down for work and really loved it...We gave my son and his gf dollars for a cruise this summer and they loved that!

I sent my sister an 11 x 14 framed picture of her entire family from their 60th Wedding anniversary party in October plus a bunch of 8 x 10's of their individual children and families...She was thrilled...the photographer they hired was charging astronomical prices for enlargements so I made her day!

I searched through all my pictures to find some of my late husband with our three GD's. Some of him dancing with them and some of him just holding them as little babies. I put them in some nice frames and gave them to them. They were thrilled, couldn't thank me enough. It really warmed my heart.

We did a photo collage blanket for my sister in law and her husband. They adopted thier grandchildren when they were 3 weeks old and 1 year old. The blanket was a big hit. Was able to get her mom (my mom in law) in the pictures as well. She's been having serious medical issues and this could have been her last Christmas with us. I new they were going to love it and that my sister in law would cry, I made a bow out of kleenex and attached it to the box just in case. I use the vicks kleenex so she had to be careful not to rub her eyes. The gift was two fold.

A Katie Brown Table Fire Pit for our woman's gift at hubby's family Christmas. I had been watching them all summer. Darn things were so expensive. They finally had them on clearance. They had several so I checked each time I went in. Finally they had 2 left and when I got to the checkout they were $2.50. I threw in a few extra things and they went around and around... Bought me one, too.

One thing I bought for my Great Nephews was one of the plush dogs that rolls around, laughs and barks.
Everyone was in stitches playing with it. It has a motion sensor in it so it starts up every time someone walks by. Just one of those last minute things that everyone loved!
