Everyone seemed so thrilled with the patchwork, quilted checker and backgammon boards I made them this year.

From where I sit--I received 2 gifts that were really special. Sis gave us a beautiful bird book that has recordings of every bird's song. It's a wonderful book, that I know we'll enjoy looking at and listening to. The other super gift was from my dd. About a week before Christmas she discovered that there was a posthumous Mitch Hedberg CD out this year (new material he was working on in clubs at the time of his death). What a wonderful surprise that was!

Was gone during Christmas, but had DS pickup my gift to GS and family, to open Christmas Day.

GS left me a message on answer machine all excited over the family's Wii Sports bundle.

I'll have to check into the Outdoor Adventures.

april flower, we got a wii for Christmas. Anna and I have done some tennis playing and boxing. She and a friend have been playing with a drum and guitar thing we bought. I don't remember what it's called. I like the looks of then Outdoor Adventure. Anna's birthday is in March. If I can find it I think I'll get her one then.

We got GS a Wii for Christmas. It was hard to find, but his joy was worth the effort. The whole family is having fun with it.

Yep Glenda, at that first part he's rowing. Patti, he wears me out too, watching him. Unfortunately, he doesn't burn calories for me that way, but wouldn't it be great if that was possible?!

The best gift around here was the parking garage and car wash DH and I assembled *in only four hours* (no power tools) for our GS. We had so much fun putting it together, and GS loved it. I don't know if all their products are of such good quality, but here's a plug for KidKraft toys. (It was a pleasure to work with a sturdy product. Every screw hole lined up perfectly; directions were clear and easy to follow.) Got this at Costco.

I love all of my gifts, but one in particular I use every day. It's the Dr Scholls Hot paraffin wax spa. It has made my hands so soft and smooth, and it doubles duty in the joint pain relief department. My husband bought it for me.

I gave a gift box to DSIL. On the top said "These are a few of my favorite things..." and I filled it with some of my favorite things. Dove foaming handsoap, Dawn super detergent, a tide stick, the name and number of our favorite babysitter and landscaper, a couple angled measuring cups, and a gift card to our favorite restaurant.

DH got me Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, and I have been playing it every night when the kids go to bed. He also got me a bluetooth speakerphone for my car. The kids and I commute an hour and a half each day, so now, they can talk to daddy and grandmas in the car too.

My MIL lost her 17 year old cat a few months ago. She was a miserable Calico but MIL loved her. Anyway she mentioned to me that she really missed having a pet but felt a cat or dog was just too much for her anymore.
So DH and I bought her a small Aquarium kit with a pump,filter, fake plants and such and two little fish.
SHE LOVES IT!!!!!!!! She talks to the fish and really enjoys watching them. It does look pretty in her living room at night with the light on.
I had no idea that it would go over so well. I am so plesed she is enjoying it!

My best friend got our family 3 rounds of clay pidgeon shooting! We've recently taken up the sport... something to enjoy outdoors as a family (no shooting real wildlife for us). It's a thoughtful gift because we can't do it very often as it's a very expensive hobby but it's loads of fun.

I have 2 bird songs books, this is the birds of North America and I also have birds of the world. Not sure if it's the same one azzalea has. Joe gave them to me a few Christmases ago, he got them at Costco for about $25 or $29 Canadian.

One gift that my daughter and her BF loved was this picture of their new house. I enlarged it and put it in a museum frame with a wide white mat. It really looked nice.

I got many great gifts this year, but one I am truly enjoying is the extended memory and its installation from DD#5 and SIL. He also did a lot of cleaning up on my machine. I think I've mentioned this, but one year some friends gave me a truckload of black dirt...that was a fabulous gift.

The gift(s) I gave that were the most meaningful was the CD's my best friends daughter made. I gave a copy of the CD to my MIL and 1 to our daughter! This is a picture of the CD front and inside cover.

The gift I received that meant the most to me was from a friends Step-Mom! She lives in GA and I've met her probably 3 times. This was the gift that when I opened it, made everyone acknowledge the "Elephant in the Room" Christmas Day! It's the poem "My First Christmas in Heaven" and has a John Deere tractor in the background!
