This year I am making a I-Spy game (large soda bottle filled with trinkets and table sale). I'll give each person a minute in a private area and they'll write down whatever they 'spy'. A few things will be worth more points if they find them.

In the past I've done the following:
The left/right game (instructions easily found on the internet).
Card toss - take 10 to 15 assorted sized Christmas cards and let each player toss them towards a laundry basket about 7 to 10 feet away. Don't let anyone bend the cards. Harder than it looks to get the cards into the basket.
Famous people game - Find pictures of famous people (including cartoon characters like Rudolph), print them all out on one sheet then make copies for each player. Give them about 5 minutes to see how many they get right.
Stocking game - fill a stocking with small household items, tie the top and have players write down what they can feel.

I am hoping that the new GGKids that we haven't met, will like the Mexican Train Game we sent them. I have only seen this game in our motorhome traveling circles, but our Grands really loved it when we had them. It is a domino game and there are "many, some confluicting" rules, some more difficult than others. Our Grands (and our being new to the game) made up their own rules and always had a great time with it. Adults like it....Go Fish etc. gets pretty boring for grown ups. Kids were 8-10 when we discovered this game.

I use to play the Mexican Train game when we traveled and stayed in RV parks. That was the thing to do and I think it uses pennies (if I remember right) Lot of fun.

LCR is great fun, the more people the better. It can be played by "3 yr-olds, 90 yr-olds, idiots and drunks" according to a friend. Great fun, you are never out of the game until the very end, even if you have no chips or coins in front of you.. We play with real money, bring a roll of pennies or quarters or whatever.

We had our family Christmas party last weekend & a group played "Apples to Apples" - I was hosting so couldn't sit & play but people from age 6 to late 50s were having a food time! We also play cards alot as a family.

We have had many laughs with Mad-Libs.

Have a jigsaw puzzle set up someplace so people can work on it, whenever.

We play the left right center game with dice and quarters. Very fun. For Christmas we are reading about the "wright family." Again, this is very fun.

Lots of ideas here. I know I will use some of them; just have to decide which ones. Not familiar with Apples to Apples, or Mad Lib. Will have to google them.
