I don't think we've done this yet this year. Post a picture of your Christmas tree and any other Christmas decorations you'd like to share.

Here is the tree in my living room. I have one in my family room too. Haven't taken a picture of that yet this year.

Nona - your blue creation is lovely. And so is everyone elses....such crafty people we have here! Countrygrl - I got the metal stand at an antique show this summer....I just love it. I've seen similar ones at garden shows....I don't think it's antique or anything...somebody just welded some rusty steel together. They were marked $25, but he gave it to us for $20....we didn't even have to ask...LOL

It's so long ago, it's probably an amalgamation of all my California memories. Anyway... I was 6 and it was going to be my sister's 2nd birthday. At that time, we lived in Montery, CA. We were going back to Tennessee to visit mom's family. Before we left, we'd gone north to cut our own tree at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range. As we drove up the rocky coast, we passed fields and fields of crops, orchards, vineyards. Stopping for lunch, likely Phil's fishmarket (as I remember the Mosslanding Power Plant stacks), in Mosslanding that had three inch thick crab sandwiches served, oddly enough, on white bread. Which, at that point, I only liked white bread (too bad, since I lived in the best sourdough country there is), which made it perfectly delicious! We got french fried artichoke hearts for the road and nibbled on them on all the way to the tree place. I don't remember picking it out or how it traveled back home, but I do remember watching in awe as they shot it down the that puts a net around it (now, I know it is a tree baler). That was totally righteous dude! Mom always liked to use those big tree lights, all different colors and we'd sit on the couch with all the lights off, Christmas music (Ray Coniff singers, Johnny Mathis) playing, the fire crackling, every night. I was sad to leave it all behind, but we were getting on a plane and it was only the second time I could remember doing it. The blue lights of the landing runway in Nashville were like a Christmas tree on the ground, and I felt like there was a red carpet being laid out for us. Gran and Stan had a funny Christmas tree. Mom called it the . It was white with only red ornaments. I liked it too. Susie got a doll as tall as she was! And we lost a shoe before we went back home. GranMrs made us all our bell ornaments. There were knitted and jingle bell in the middle. I don't remember too much about the presents, but I do remember that it was my first time to ever see real snow. Before, I'd only live in Maryland when I was a baby, but then Hawaii and California. I hated that Mark threw snowballs at my head, but other than that it was enjoyable. I remember the dark night and the lights on the Bay water as we drove home after touching down. When we arrived, daddy, who was overseas, had sent us a huge box wrapped in brown paper and the packages inside were so neatly wrapped in newspaper. I couldn't tell you for a million dollars what was in those packages, but that it was there waiting on us, Christmas was longer than I'd expected it, and it felt like a comfy hug over the miles.

What nice pictures everyone. Yayagal, what a precious baby. Such a pretty little face. I don't have any pictures because I have already put the bird feeder outside and the calendar I wanted is on the desk waiting for me to fill in all important dates. I did get a note from Santa though. Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree. I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me. Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace? Or a Cuttlebug, I said with a smile on my face. And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa, " I said. "You know....good little girls Should be in their beds." "I know I should Santa, And now I've been caught. But I was just so excited To see what you brought." "Well, let's take a look In this room where you work. He shook his head quickly, And left with a jerk. I heard him exclaim As he put it in gear. "You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year I saw this over on Delphi Forums. Ahhhh, Hi Alice. Haven't seen you in a while. Yes, we tell people to just SOB but when you've read the same post for years, we have a tendency to want to reach out and slap some sense into a fellow KTer. How hard is it to be grateful for the little things? (and I'm not saying $100 is a little thing). But evidently SamKaren has been there 13 years....she shouldn't expect anything more. I'm sorry she's unhappy with her Christmas gifts or rather, the lack of appreciation she feels from the departments. And since I'm not there to observe their working relationship, I'll just say this: I've been in secretarial jobs before and I certainly didn't receive or expect gifts from everyone in the department. Some people's glass will always be half empty or even cracked. We can continue to fill it for them over and over or help them fix their glass. Sometimes "handholding" just doesn't help. I do wonder if her unhappiness is apparent in her relationship with her co-workers? If she's truly that unhappy, perhaps she should look for a job where she will feel more appreciated. Me? I have two sons in college with the next semesters tuition due soon so my DH and I didn't exchange gifts. It was a quiet Christmas with friends and family. With the cost of everyday living rising with no end in sight, I think a lot of people are trimming their gift giving budget. I don't base how good my Christmas was on what I received. It makes me sad that year after year, SamKaren feels jilted by her co-workers. That's not what Christmas is about.

Didn't put up my small tree this year,will hang this and put the presents on a table beneath. It's a vintage jewelry Christmas tree in a frame. Has old jewelry glued on in shape of tree and lights are poked in from the back and they do work, got it at a thrift shop for $1. Saw lots on e-bay ranging in price from about $15 to well over a couple hundred.

Taking a break from cooking, and I love looking at other's decorations!

Here's mine. Next year I'm going to stream ribbon in it.

I just have a little table top tree, but included kitchen, dining room, great room and of course, Georgy, my best decoration of all. Merry Christmas everyone.

Last year this was a 8 ft tree, but this year we used only the top half and it is about 4 ft tall...it fits on the fireplace and we love it small. Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh, they are all beautiful. I have my two little table top trees, lights are blinking, but Grandsons spent the day with me, so presents are GONE! LOL

First here are my angels in the bay window,came across these first,so now i'll go find my tree.

Here's the tree from 2 yrs ago,i'm having trouble finding this years,not sure if i put it in PB yet.Most all ornies on my tree are homemade by me and some of my friends.Need to find a better picture of it.

I LOVE Christmas and all the decorations. Here is our Christmas room. There is so much stuff we limit it to the two entry ways (sorry no pics of those) and the living/dining room.
So many things move, sing, dance talk etc.
We think people keep buying us stuff because we are foolish enough to put it up each year then they come and visit it all LOL
Anyway here is out Christmas Room 2010....Enjoy and

Mine keeps coming out blurry with the lights turned on it, but here it is anyway. No gifts till the morning or Winston, the cat will unwrap everything.

We didn't put up a tree this year... everyone is gone away for Christmas, so we just figured not to do it for just the two of us... but we have enjoyed others beautiful trees.. and all of these are just lovely. Thanks for sharing..

My tree this morning. Gifts are still unopened. The kids are all still sleeping. Aw, the days of small children awake at 5 to open gifts are over. Now we're lucky to get them out by noon.......

Our tree is an 11' slim tree and it rotates. Someone must have been good this year. :) Merry Christmas!

Casey-I have seen your tree for many years now and remember how nice it always looks!

Nothing has changed on my little tree in 12 years. It is put back in it's box just as is year after year. I keep promising myself that I will undecorate and redo it every year. But each year I become overwhelmed with everything else and don't get it done.
