Here's one I just took of my new wok in use. My DD gave me this great pan--nice and big, and presently filled with chicken, tofu, onion, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, garlic, and Indonesian spices.

I love my wok....use it alot!

My grandson's gave me this...my favorite gift! It's cut out of paper and placed on a backing...really cute!

We also got tickets to see Jay Leno at the Comedy and Magic club here in Hermosa Beach from DS and DIL #2! I can't wait!

Hey Allisande, what kind of wok is that? I have been looking for a good stainless steel wok that is not teflon coated.

Well I was up early so went ahead and opened my SS gifts. WOW thank you Plumbnelly! I got the most beautiful hand painted gourd, a snowman spoon ornament, a Christmas Tree cone, a magazine, and a bag of peach marbles. Here is the photo of my stuff below. As you can see in the background, my newest cat just had to get in the picture. I'm single and live alone with my 3 cats so couldn't include a photo of myself. I tried and tried to wrap their little paws around the camera to take my picture, but they just couldn't do it. LOL Thanks so much for all my beautiful things. I had a great time opening them all. When I was a child, my dad always had to "work" Christmas Eve. He'd leave for work about 6 P.M. and Santa would arrive about 8. He'd then get back home right after Santa left, saying they shut down early for Christmas. I belived that line for many years. After we all married, Christmas eve was at my parent's home with all my siblings, their spouses, children, and grandchildren. There would be 26 of us. We'd meet at or after midnight mass. The living room would be almost wall to wall gifts. After the gifts were exchanged we'd all sit down for a really late night/early morning breakfast of homemade coffee cakes, waffles, sausages, bacon and eggs, and a ton of various cookies. We'd get home about 5:00 A.M. and go to bed, then get woken up at 7 as our children got up to see what Santa left for them at our house. Now, with my brother and parents dead, my wife and I spend our Christmas eves with our own family. As I get older, I'd just as soon spend the evening at home with my wife but, My children demand we visit each of them. When I was working, I'd decorate my bosses scooter as a sled and attach a pair of antlers and some bells to the front. I'd buy tiny candy canes, dress up as Santa, and spend the last day of work before the holiday break going around the plant on the scooter and pass out candy canes to every one. There were 1500 people working that shift at the Chicago Ford Assembly Plant and I gave everyone of them a candy cane and wished them a Merry Christmas. That was my only job that day. The rest of the year I was a production supervisor.

It's so long ago, it's probably an amalgamation of all my California memories. Anyway... I was 6 and it was going to be my sister's 2nd birthday. At that time, we lived in Montery, CA. We were going back to Tennessee to visit mom's family. Before we left, we'd gone north to cut our own tree at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range. As we drove up the rocky coast, we passed fields and fields of crops, orchards, vineyards. Stopping for lunch, likely Phil's fishmarket (as I remember the Mosslanding Power Plant stacks), in Mosslanding that had three inch thick crab sandwiches served, oddly enough, on white bread. Which, at that point, I only liked white bread (too bad, since I lived in the best sourdough country there is), which made it perfectly delicious! We got french fried artichoke hearts for the road and nibbled on them on all the way to the tree place. I don't remember picking it out or how it traveled back home, but I do remember watching in awe as they shot it down the that puts a net around it (now, I know it is a tree baler). That was totally righteous dude! Mom always liked to use those big tree lights, all different colors and we'd sit on the couch with all the lights off, Christmas music (Ray Coniff singers, Johnny Mathis) playing, the fire crackling, every night. I was sad to leave it all behind, but we were getting on a plane and it was only the second time I could remember doing it. The blue lights of the landing runway in Nashville were like a Christmas tree on the ground, and I felt like there was a red carpet being laid out for us. Gran and Stan had a funny Christmas tree. Mom called it the . It was white with only red ornaments. I liked it too. Susie got a doll as tall as she was! And we lost a shoe before we went back home. GranMrs made us all our bell ornaments. There were knitted and jingle bell in the middle. I don't remember too much about the presents, but I do remember that it was my first time to ever see real snow. Before, I'd only live in Maryland when I was a baby, but then Hawaii and California. I hated that Mark threw snowballs at my head, but other than that it was enjoyable. I remember the dark night and the lights on the Bay water as we drove home after touching down. When we arrived, daddy, who was overseas, had sent us a huge box wrapped in brown paper and the packages inside were so neatly wrapped in newspaper. I couldn't tell you for a million dollars what was in those packages, but that it was there waiting on us, Christmas was longer than I'd expected it, and it felt like a comfy hug over the miles.

I got a free photo book from Shutterfly which I finally completed. I decided to title it "Christmas" since that's my favorite holiday, and the "theme" for which I had the most pictures. The photob book will rest on my coffee table during the holidays. I'll try to post pics after the invasion of the bins has ended. Right now they (the bins) are winning.

Hi Bigbaby - It's made by Cuisinart, and it's the 14" "stir-fry pan." It comes with a glass lid. Here it is at Amazon.

Over the years I've had a variety of woks, including carbon steel. The last one was a nonstick, and the coating started peeling off. I'm pretty sure I ate some of it. (Ugh.) This latest one did a great job, and cleaned up like new.

To post photos from Photobucket, go to Photobucket in another tab, leaving the first tab at the KT (or wherever you want to post the picture). In Photobucket, roll your cursor over the photo and from the menu that will appear under it, click on the words HTML Code. A little yellow box should appear, saying COPIED. Then go to the post where you want the photo to appear, and type in Ctrl+V to paste the code into the post.

You can go up to the Edit menu and click on Paste if you want, but it's quicker to do it from the keyboard.

That's it!

Yayagal...you need to use the HTML link, you are using the IMG link. Otherwise, I think you have got it! =)

What nice pictures everyone. Yayagal, what a precious baby. Such a pretty little face.

I don't have any pictures because I have already put the bird feeder outside and the calendar I wanted is on the desk waiting for me to fill in all important dates. I did get a note from Santa though.

Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what
Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock
