Land's End Tote Bags

Land's End is having a terrific tote bag sale. The medium size is only $12.00. Terrific size for gals that need to take a bag along. Free shipping, too. I just ordered 8 of them with a $5.00 monogram printed on them. With tax it was $145.00. These make wonderful gifts for teachers and such.. Great quality....... Just thought you might like to know..

I love Lands' End tote bags! I have close to a dozen of them. They're great for keeping various knitting projects in. I always take an empty medium or large size tote when we travel because they're perfect for all of the little odds and ends that you accumulate along the way. :-)

Ouch, $12.00 for a canvas bag...

I don't have a single one that cost that much. Most of mine came from goodwill stores, some from grocery stores, and two from Korea (my daughter brought them with her, for me).

I keep thinking of making some like Flamey did a couple of years ago, even purchased fabric for them....

Someday, I might get around to it. :)

Me, too, Jenni! This one is as cute as a bug's ear! I just love the happiness you sew into everything. You should go into business doing custom purses/totes. Each one would be different so you couldn't get bored! I'll order a flamingo at the beach one! Margarita in hand, of course. Or I can add that, if need be!

I am currently using the "hanger" method, but am also looking for alternatives. The previous owner of my home had two accordion-style peg hooks hanging in the laundry room, with all of her bags hanging on them. (Since our litter box is in this room, I barely leave clean clothes lingering for too long, so not an option for me.) I do have a wooden freestanding coat rack in my basement (courtesy of Freecycle) that holds various tote bags and duffel bags. Bottom line is, I have too many bags (even though I've purged). Not because I love them; I have just yet to find that "perfect" one, and it seems it is my life's mission (LOL). Here is a link that might be useful: accordian-style peg hooks

I bought a pair of burgandy comforters for my sons 20 years ago. Some loose threads today, but still in great shape. I bought pink and white bedding for my girls, so charming and sweet. We still have the sleeping bag that matches that set and it is also in excellent condition. These are all under the "Coming Home" brand. This was when you were thrilled to get cotton bedding that was 250 count! Now that Sears is accelerating the closing of their stores, I am hoping that Lands End will be picked up by a better retailer that will promote the legendary quality that Lands End was known for back in the day.

Moni, they're more than just a plain canvas bag. All but two of mine have the zippered top. All of them, even the open top bags, have pockets inside that are great for holding and organizing stuff. They are made from a very sturdy canvas and have very strong seams. And they hold a LOT!

You can go into a Sears store and find the Lands' End canvas bags, and judge them in person.

I don't have a Land's End tote, but I do have an L.L.Bean tote. And if it is anywhere as close to the thickness and quality of my LLBean, that IS a really good price.

These are no flimsy canvas totes. They are stiff... stand upright, thick canvas. My sewing machine isn't tough enough to sew through it. I've had mine for years and it looks brand new!

They are nice, sturdy bags and make a great gift. Free shipping is terrific. And don't forget, if you get something from LE that you want to return, it can be returned at Sears saving return shipping as well. Good deal!

Like I said before, I've got about a dozen of these in various sizes. Bear with me, because I'm going to post two photos -- one shows the size differences of the open and zippered top totes, and the second photo (it's gonna be a long one) shows the various different totes with the sale prices. Although that photo is looooong, it is actually kinda small, so you might not be able to easily tell the prices (depending on how the resolution of your monitor is set), but at least you'll be able to see the various styles. Go to the web site (or to a Sears store) to really check them out.
