I am expecting mine to come today. I got a 12" one from Newegg.com for $109.99, which is by far the cheapest I've seen for this size. Good reviews, too.
the best thing to do (IMO) is to google "reviews for (list model)". You can get lots of good info that way.

Some will play video also - you might want to check that out. Many digital cameras will take video also. You will want to see what type of file format the frame supports - and if that is the type your camera takes.

Could someone clue in a very electronically-challenged person as to what a digital photo frame does? I'm guessing that you can store a number of digital photos in the frame and change them around? If it is complicated, please speak slowly. LOL

We got one for my parents for Christmas. I can't remember what the brand was but it was 10" and does photos, videos and also music. It also does 800 x 400 pixels which was the most we saw of all the frames we looked at. Periodically we are going to send them a card with new pictures on it so they can change them out when they get bored with the ones they have.

I got a great deal at Best Buy since it was on sale from $249 down to $99 and then I had $45 in rewards and 10% off to boot. I am sure my folks are going to love it.

I was at Staples the other day, they sure have a great selection of them.

Shea. .a digital picture frame allows you to view about as many pictures as your heart desires by showing them as a slide show. The frames come in many sizes, as well as keychains. I, personally like to download my pictures on an SD card, it goes into a slot on the back of the picture frame. Rather then download them right to the frame. It is easier to me anyway, to take the sd card out to add more pictures to it. I have a 2G card in my frame and it will hold over 1000 pictures. My husband has one at work on his desk with about 300 pictures on it. I gave my mother in law one for Christmas last year with pictures from the time she was a little girl up till now. It's a great way to display and view pictures with limited space for regularly framed pictures. Walmart has working ones on display if you want to see exactly what they look like working. I have a 10" on in my kitchen but some day I'm going to have a 19" one on the wall. They really are not complicated at all. You just put the blank sd card into your computer and download the pictures you want onto the card, then plug the card into the back of the frame and turn it on. .They really are wonderful.. .any other questions? . .debbie

Debbie, thank you so much for taking the time for such a detailed response! And I even understood it! LOL. I'm hopelessly behind the times on this stuff. I know my DIL would just love one of these. I'll check with my son to see if he's getting her one. If not, I will! And I want one, too!!

I got a Sony 5 x 7 for my birthday...after I figured it out I love it...DH bought me an additional memory stick so the thing will hold well over a 1000 pictures! You can leave it on or set it to a timer...We love it!
