Digital Photo Frame

Someone bought me a digital photo frame fully loaded

with pics.(something else for the attic)

The instructions say nothing about downloading the pics from the frame to my computer.

Is this possible?

Yes, but I guess it depends on the frame type. There should be a connection port, such as a USB port somewhere on the frame. Once you find it, you can determine what cable or camera card you will need to copy the photos.

Yep, those camera frames make great additions to the attic, right next to the ceramic cookie jar that's shaped like a pig...

I think I'd like one for my desk at work. My own photos in it of course.

Actually , that's a good idea, but I was thinking she could put it in her office ( they both work in same place) and I'm sure they already have all that other stuff. They both make a lot of money. Can you even get a 19 inch LCD or plasma tv for that little?

I have opened and operating my digital photo frame K101. The manual is of limited help. The DPF has a USB port, and needs a USB cable with male connectors at each end. I have the cable, plugged it in, and other than providing power to the DPF, I can't see what the USB cable is for. I figured that the USB cable would allow me to use the DPF without a memory card, accessing the photos on my computer in a random or selected format. No help in the instruction manual about the use of the USB port. Can anyone help?

Warpage depends on a lot more factors than size. The biggest thing to pay attention to is moisture content, because wood changes shape and size as it absorbs or looses moisture. If your lumber is acclimated to normal indoor conditions before you build anything out of it, it'll stand a better chance of remaining fairly stable. That said, it looks like you used just about the poorest quality wood available, and chose some marginal construction techniques. That cheap, knotty, home-center pine is not great stuff, and mitering the corners on such wide pieces is just begging for the thing to disassemble itself.

Shea. .a digital picture frame allows you to view about as many pictures as your heart desires by showing them as a slide show. The frames come in many sizes, as well as keychains. I, personally like to download my pictures on an SD card, it goes into a slot on the back of the picture frame. Rather then download them right to the frame. It is easier to me anyway, to take the sd card out to add more pictures to it. I have a 2G card in my frame and it will hold over 1000 pictures. My husband has one at work on his desk with about 300 pictures on it. I gave my mother in law one for Christmas last year with pictures from the time she was a little girl up till now. It's a great way to display and view pictures with limited space for regularly framed pictures. Walmart has working ones on display if you want to see exactly what they look like working. I have a 10" on in my kitchen but some day I'm going to have a 19" one on the wall. They really are not complicated at all. You just put the blank sd card into your computer and download the pictures you want onto the card, then plug the card into the back of the frame and turn it on. .They really are wonderful.. .any other questions? . .debbie

I have the digital picture frame at work. (love it!)

And I have the pig shaped cookie jar by the back door with doggie biscuits in it. (The come running when we say "pig pig pig!")

But I have gotten rid of the 8 tracks and the poodle skirt. (Although I might wear the skirt if it still fit...)

Wow - I would put my name on the list also if you are shipping it to the attic. I think they are the greatest thing ever! I also have a pig cookie jar that is my favorite think on my kitchen counter! It is a McCoy jar that my parents got as a wedding gift.

Most of the frames hold SD cards that you can just zip the pictures onto from your computer or pop in straight from you camera. Many support video and will play MP3's along with the pictures.

I don't know why you would need to install any software.

You can just drag the pictures onto a card and pop the card into your digi frame. No special software is needed.
