Facebook Facial Profiler Anyone?

Has anyone every tried using the facial profiler that Facebook has. I read about it and it looks interesting to try.

I am not on Facebook right now so I would have to join first. I never wanted to join Facebook before.

To use the profiler do they download something to your computer? Do they send you spam after getting it? I tried reading everything on their site about this but there could be some "hidden" undesirability that they are not telling? I am leery since it is promoted and sponsored by Coke Zero. You know what they say about when something sounds 'too cool to be true'.

Never heard of it. Interesting! I might give it a try at some point.

Back in the 1960s someone showed me a photo in Playboy magazine that looked like me. She was from Denmark, and we really looked alike. In every way. :-)

Dilly Dally, I just tried Face Profiler. It is like every other app in Facebook, it asks permission to access different parts of your profile info and in this case photos. Once I gave it permission, it went through my photo albums and started scanning several photos that had my face in them. It then asked for one more photo, which I uploaded from my hard drive. Once done, it gave me my match.

Other than that, it just sent me a Notification that read:
"Coke Zero Facial Profiler just matched you against its database. Click here to see if someone else has your face."

Here's my match. ... I wish I looked that good! LOL

I just recently read an article on that and how it was set default to share which is just ridiculous. I highly recommend this site for anyone using facebook Get Protected I copied this info from one of the other forums I am on "NEW PRIVACY setting called "Instant Personalization" that shares data with non-Facebook websites and it is automatically set to "Enable." Go to Account >Privacy Settings > Applications and Websites >Instant Personalization > Edit Settings, and un-check "Enable". salgal, thanks. I'm familiar with what you are saying to do, though I don't know the different between using it as a name or my biz name. I need a crash course in FB. Some time ago, I made an ALIAS FB page just to search and see what it was all about. Later, I added my real business as a page on the alias profile just as a trial, thinking I could delete it until I was serious about moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't seem to be able to delete the biz page. When I try, it tells me it can't be deleted. Since I now have a real FB profile for ME, I want to make a serious business page under my real profile. I don't want to duplicate it under my real name (until the other is gone/deleted) in case it shows up twice when people search for my biz. I hope I'm making sense. FB is quite confusing. I'm frazzled.

I may be way to controversial here but there must be alot of people that want that option of "only me" or fb would not offer that option. Here is one incident in which I used the "only me" option. I have a pic that my granddaughter sent to me via fb message of her and her mother..It is absolutely beautiful, and she wanted to keep it private until she and her mom could have it framed for her dad to give it to him as a gift. She ask me to keep it private so I put it in my picture and put it under the "only me." When it was mentioned above that others could see the pictures even though the only me had been chosen I contacted my DGD and she confirmed that she could not see the picture on my account. Whew!!

Thanks. That is helpful info. I was worried the application would end up on my computer changing my browser or something. I also don't want a lot of spam from Coke Zero and who ever else they send my info to.

It looks like their data base is rather limited for matches.
