I once ate at a Red Lobster as I had time to kill in a small town. I always enjoy their food. This particular time, the food was great, but the service was beyond awful. I know sometimes that wait servers know that single women are the worst tippers as I have been a server myself. But I was completely ignored. I had to flag down someone after getting water but sitting for over 30 minutes to order. After getting my food, which was good, I had to go to the hostess stand to get someone to bring me my check. I had been there over 1 1/2 hours for a simple meal. The server continued to walk by me but would not stop. When I got home, I emailed RL head quarters and told them of my trip. All I wanted to do was let them know that this particular store was not very kind to me. The fellow I got a hold of was the nicest man ever. He was so sorry for the situation and offered me coupons, which I didn't want, but he sent them anyway. That was so nice. I never complain, but this was one of those times that I felt it was called for. I think they handled it really well, and I continue to eat there when I can. Trin

Warranties from manufacturers usually cover repair or replacement only---and for a single year only. You're very fortunate that F&P is actually going to give you your money back. That's very unusual. I know that doesn't help you with your current situation, but more phone calls to F&P and documenting those calls is probably your only recourse at this point. They are in the drivers seat, and if pressed, they may revert to the actions that the warranty provide for rather than this exception.

Outsideplaying, etsy has sellers from all over the world (saying all Chinese sellers are rip off artists is like saying all Americans are like Donald Trump.) Etsy does allow some things to be manufactured for sellers- there are rules that are supposed to be followed (the seller is supposed to be doing the design work and several other rules,) but it is not against etsy policy to have parts of items made by others. If you ever feel a seller is simply a reseller of others goods you can report them right off the item page and etsy will investigate and require info from the seller. Sometimes they even request a video showing the seller actually making the item! Other times they verify sources of materials, etc. As far as things like the Chanel logo on this item- its a violation of intellectual property laws but legally it is the rights holders responsibility to enforce, not etsy's to decide. In this case, Chanel would inform etsy the item is in violation and etsy would pull the listing... But as long as people buy these unauthorized items and fakes there will be sellers to make them, unfortunately. (In the interest of full disclosure- I've been an Etsy seller since 2009 and have had just shy of 1700 successful sales, over 200 successful personal purchases and 1 that was shipped poorly but the seller made things right.)
