How good are you at wrapping presents? Not very but I try really hard
What type of wrapping paper is your favorite? I like just the brown and use pretty ribbon

Have you ever been to Rockefeller Center to see the tree? no
What about Disney World? no

Any cool family traditions? Just everyone gets new pjs for Christmas eve so all are cute the next morning

How good are you at wrapping presents? Very good at square and rectangle boxes, not so good at odd-shapes.

What type of wrapping paper is your favorite? A thick printed paper.

Have you ever been to Rockefeller Center to see the tree?
What about Disney World? No and No, but I have been to Silver Dollar City and saw theirs.

Any cool family traditions? No.

How many people do you buy presents for? About 15.

Does your family get a picture taken and send it out in Christmas cards? No.

What type of tree topper do you have? One my DD made in grade school.

On a scale of 1-10, how decorated is your house? 5 maybe.

Would anyone ever call you a grinch? No.

Do you and your friends do "Secret Santas?" No.

Do you go to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve? No.

What Christmas movie do you watch EVERY YEAR at Christmas Time? It's a Wonderful Life.

I'm very happy with the time I was born. I got to experience so much. I was a child during the 50's but got to experience a lot of the cool stuff through the eyes of my brother who was 6 years older. We got to play with toy guns and bows and arrows and get hurt at the neighbors house without anyone suing. Being a teen during the sixties was a wild ride. I was lucky enough to be in the San Francisco Bay Area. I got to experience a lot of firsts in this country...the Free Speech movement, the Peace Movement,Civil Rights etc. We were going to change the world. LOL. Free Concerts, Hells Angels and Hippies. I was fortunate to raise my children where most of the moms still stayed home and the kids had a normal childhood running around the neighborhood, playing house and school and games of make believe using their imaginations instead of having over-scheduled days...some with less outdoor time than the average prison inmate. Now I'm in the age of high tech. How cool is that!!! I know that even If I should ever become disabled or home bound in my old age the whole world is just a click away. Yes there were downsides...we lost so many to the Vietnam War, I was born a few years too early to be taken seriously in school when I wanted to become a vet. (business and typing classes ugh), we fought Communism but socialized our own country, but all in all I've had a great ride.

Are you accepting of other people's religions and beliefs? -- Yes. Actually, I enjoy learning about world religions and what makes it work for the people who believe it. I find that I am more accepting of other peope's beliefs than they are of mine. When someone is rude to you, how do you respond? -- I learned that it is more effective to respond with extreme politeness. It really gets to a rude person to smile and say "Oh, bless your heart, you are having a rough day. I sure hope it gets better!" If I try to be rude back, they get more rude, it never ends. But that kill them with kindness stuff really works! They just can't win when you change the rules like that. If you were one of the Seven Dwarfs, which one would you be? --I've got multiple personalities. I start the day Grumpy, maybe a little Bashful. Then I have a coupla cups of coffee and get both Happy and Dopey. As a mom, I usually need to be Doc at some point each day. By the end of the day I'm Sleepy. Today I'm also Sneezy, as I do feel a cold coming on. Have you ever seen a shooting star? -- Yes, and it's thrilling every time!

I am standing right next to EvaTX!!! I don't think I have peeked in many years now tho. Most of the time DH doesn't put mine under the tree until just before we open gifts...he KNOWS! It was my paternal grandmother that taught me how to open a present without anyone knowing! HONEST!! I remember the day so clearly how she showed me! LOL She was the most fun person!!! =)

I went my book club meeting this morning. We had the author, Donna Morrissey, as our guest as we are reading her book, "What They Wanted", as this month's selection. It was very interesting - she was delightful but not quite what I expected. I got a tremendous insight into the author's inspiration and technique. Then we had a pot luck lunch - yummy casseroles and desserts. The rest of the day is free!

~ Like Lydia, thick printed paper.

~ I used to work at Rockefeller Center. I also worked at Lincoln Center. I was so spoiled . . . . all those fabulous decorations!

What about Disney World?
~ Been there more than once, but not at Christmas.

~ ALL family traditions are cool!

How many people do you buy presents for?
~ Twelve, I think.

~ Nope.

~ Star

~ Zero. I'm so behind!

No favorite...just not that really thin, cheap stuff that you can see through.

I've been to Disney World on Christmas day.

No. No family.

No, but I might do that next year...me and the possums.

Many...I have a raccoon and I also have an antique angel and various other ones.

Oh, about a minus 35.

I don't think so. Most people I know don't get all that excited about Christmas either.

No.

No. I'm not Catholic.

I don't watch any movies.

The only thing I look forward to is New Year because then the stores start putting out garden stuff shortly after that

I do a very good job. My sister used to kid me that I should have shares in 3M because I use so much tape.

What type of wrapping paper is your favorite?
Good quality thick paper, with a nice Christmas motif.

On a scale of 1-10, how decorated is your house? I'd say 4 or 5. I am of the "less is more" school of Christmas decorating.

Some might but they don't know me very well.

I go the candlelight carol service at my church.

I enjoy Christmas Day - I can relax. We go out for Christmas dinner so there is very little for me to do.

How good are you at wrapping presents? Decent. Good if I put some effort into it.

What type of wrapping paper is your favorite? Something dark blue with snow/snowmen.

--I can't think of anything currently that is "cool." But as a child my aunts would fill huge stockings for me and the nephews. They made the stockings when were very little and used them til we were probably too old for the. They were about 15" across at the top and 30" long. They filled them with everything from electronic games to socks. They wrapped everything individually, so it took forever to open it all, and things in pairs (socks, earrings) they would mismatch before wrapping! LOL!

Does your family get a picture taken and send it out in Christmas cards? Not every year. In fact, it's been very rare after child #3 was born.

What type of tree topper do you have?
-- This year it's a red/silver glittery star. But I have the topper my parents used my entire childhood.

On a scale of 1-10, how decorated is your house?
-- This morning it was a 1, just the tree. But we've been busy this afternoon, it's almost a 3.

Would anyone ever call you a grinch?
-- No. But DH has his moments when he gets called a Grinch.

-- Not recently.

Do you go to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve?
-- Not since I was a child.

-- Whatever I manage to catch.

-- I prefer little fun or thoughtful things. Something big makes me feel unworthy. I would still enjoy that stocking from my childhood. ;o)

~*~*~ I'm excellent at wrapping presents. I just get tired of doing it.

~*~*~ If there were a kind that magically wrapped itself around the gifts, secured itself with hidden tape, and then put a ribbon and bow on, too - that would be my favorite type.

~*~*~ Yes, I have. Loved it.

~*~*~ Never been to Disney World in Florida at any time of the year. Been to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, plenty of times during the holidays. Magical.

~*~*~ I've never really stopped to count. Probably between 12 and 25, depending on the year; and where we are for the holiday.

~*~*~ I have the same tree topper than has been on my Christmas tree since my first Christmas -- I inherited it when my parents died. It is a lighted star. I love it.

Have you ever been to Rockefeller Center to see the tree? Saw the tree at Rockefeller Center two years ago....beautiful.

What abot Disney World? Been to Disneyland but not during the holidays.
