Interested too. I don't want those sticky decals for the bottom of the tub and don't want to scrub those mats after every bath or shower. Bathtub is very slippery. Our 40 year old nephew fell in it this summer.

Tony doesn't have anything in his shower & I have a big Jacuzzi tub that has built in "bumps" to keep me from slipping when I am getting in & out of the tub.

My Mom used one of those rubber mats with all the little sucker feet on it to keep it from slipping. She took hers out & rinsed it off after every shower & laid it across the side of the tub with the sucker feet pointing up. She got hers at the Dollar Tree and when it started to get yucky she would get another one & throw the yucky one away. She did it about once a month. When she passed we found her "stash" she had about 6 or 7 of those rubber mats under her sink.

I am not using one now but the last one I had we really liked, I got it from Anna's linens, it looked almost like rubbery grass. It had little leaves of plastic that stood up so it felt really good on your feet. It had drain holes in it too. It didn't get icky too bad, but I too take it up, spray with the shower spray and drape it. The one I had was clear.

I'm using one I found on Amazon (Prime) while looking for something else. InterDesign Blumz. It's made of clear vinyl in a pattern of cut out flowers. There's also Pebblz (get it?) . I really like it a lot and will order two the next time. I think I paid a little over ten bucks.

I also lift it out after my shower, rinse it, shake it out, and let it dry. I scrub it in the sink every month or so, but it doesn't usually need it.

Guess having an old bathtub that isn't slick at all has it's advantages...

My old shower mat to keep people from slipping that I had bought for when my mother in law visited is under my sink now. Was quick and easy to fix the messy look under there, when I moved in.

I wash mine with the towerls once a week and it has help up well with no problems with it getting nasty - of course, there's only two of us mostly using the shower...

I use mine with the sucker feet daily. I just lift it out of the tub, shake off the excess water, then hang over the shower chair to dry.I've had it probably ten months and it's not dirty or soapy or slippery. Drying between uses seems to work. You can also wash a plastic bath mat in the dishwasher. I do that maybe twice a year.

I dont have one in my tub, but, in my shower, I have a clear one, and I take it up and put it in a bleach wash in the washing machine about once a month. It still comes out looking good. I think this one came from Walmart and wasnt expensive, so could easily be replaced. Its been in the shower since we moved here over 4 yrs ago, so its held up very well.

I have a real nice thick one that feels very good on your feet.It has those rubbery feet/suckers on it,but is well made and works well.Dh got it at walmart,think it was the most expensive one they had,but well worth it.Like the op I just throw it in the machine with the towels.

While I was recovering from a broken foot, I was a little unsteady on my feet and didn't want to slip and fall so I started wearing really lightweight canvas shoes with grippy soles in the shower. I'm steadier now but my foot still aches when I'm barefoot so I still wear them. I can throw them in the dryer, or just leave them by the heat vent to dry. Seems to work!

Mine goes in the washer too...Its from Walmart and I've had it for 8 years or so and it comes out so clean....Mainstays is the brand...I have had two in eight years...took the first one I bought, and put it in the rv and bought a new one for the house...they wash and are like new...

I'd never thought of washing it in the washer! I'm going to do that today! I have to wash dog blankets so that will be the perfect time to throw that in! I'll report the outcome later....

none! when we redid "my" bathroom, went for a walk in shower with non skid floor...when it does get a small stain that scrubbing bubbles doesn't cut, I use barkeepers friend...thank goodness it's still going strong (8 years)

notice in dd2's new rental she has one of the older floors..at one point they said to use car wax to protect it!

I did wash my mat, almost forgot to check back in, it washed up just fine although it is a white one and I just cannot get it white anymore.

Does anyone have a product that will clean the staining off of a white mat?

Bleach?

I wonder if the bleach would deteriorate the plastic(rubber) though.

I forgot to say that I use plenty of bleach in my wash water...

When I bought my house 15 years ago, it had those flower decals in the bottom of the tub. My first inclination was to pull them up. But I only got one little piece up and gave up. I have come to be happy about having them. No slipping and I've been scrubbing them with Comet for years and they still keep me from slipping!!

No mat here. Too much work.
