You must have been so busy with those scrumptious lunches you're always having that you missed it. I've seen it mentioned several times. Of course, once was on the controversial post about this becoming the cooking forum. Thisledew is making it for Christmas.

Since it's just the two of us, I'm making a small apple crisp. I thought about a small apple pie but DH likes apple crisp better and I need help eating it otherwise I'd eat it all myself...no will power.

I mentioned it in a post a few days ago. A couple of others also mentioned it in posts. My DH loves it and it will be on the menu this Thanksgiving and most likely Christmas :)

Don't count me out. I mentioned that I was making it earlier. I love the pie so I thought others would also and they did. I make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am a hit. Thanks Glenda.

I won't make it this Thanksgiving since it will be just the two of us. I made an apple pie instead, but I definitely will make the fudge pie for Christmas when we will have more people to appreciate it!

I'll be making pumpkin pie and pecan pie for Thanksgiving and for Christmas.

Chocolate desserts (especially rich ones) are not high on my family's list. We lean toward the golden,the fruity and the cheesey.

Glenda, I love that pie. But, like you, just for one it is a bit much.

I may make it to take to work with me tomorrow.

Been making this for years and years, 8 inch pie.
So easy
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla
Melt butter, stir in rest of ingredients
Bake in pie shell, 325 35-45 minutes. Mine bakes in 40 minutes.

Serve with a dollop of cool whip

o.k., mmmm,mmmm, and mmmm. Could you clarify a couple things for me? Is it a regular pie or deep dish? Also, could it be made in the store bought graham cracker crumb crusts or can they not be baked in the oven?

Wish I would have seen this post sooner, it would def be on my list. Maybe I'll make it Saturday just for the heck of it. And then for Christmas, New Years. . . . .

What does it taste like? Sounds almost like a brownie in pie crust, not that there's anything wrong with that. :) I might have to try it as I bake every Friday for my co-workers.

I just made Pioneer Woman's pumpkin cream pie. It tastes amazing especially with a little Southern Comfort added, haha.

I'm not making it for Thanksgiving, but it is one of my favorite recipes and I make it often....I LOVE it
