That's right, this Saturday

Well, technically the time doesn't change until the wee hours of Sunday morning -- at 2:00 a.m. it magically becomes 1:00 a.m. -- but, yeah, setting the clocks back before going to bed Saturday night is probably the best way to do it.

I sure don't want to leave Daylight Savings Time, but we will change our clocks before bed Saturday night.

I think my body is tuned in to my clock that has been telling me that we have been off DST for a few weeks now. Seems "funny" to have to "argue" with a clock....but I set it forward and it pops back every night...ghosts??? Nanny

Huh?? Why are you setting your clock forward? Remember the old adage... Spring forward, Fall back. In the Fall, we set our clocks BACK - we gain an hour.

Or were you making a joke that flew right over my head?

I remember a long time ago when I often had to work the midnight shift. When it was the spring forward, and the clocks were set ahead from 2am to 3am, it was so nice. But when it was the reverse, to work midnight to 2am, then see that clock get reset to 1am, it was a big letdown.

I'm one of those who would vote for not changing.

Last weekend the clocks in two of our cars "automatically" popped back an hour. DH decided he had to change the time to the "right" time. But I told him, leave those clocks alone. These cars were manufactured in 2003 and 2006, before Congress' latest tweaking of Daylight Savings Time. So I think we'll just leave them alone until Sunday, when the rest of the US adjusts their clocks. I usually change the clocks in my house on Saturday night, just before I go to bed. I don't set my alarm for Sunday morning, and I eat my Sunday meals when I get hungry, not when the clock says so. By Tuesday I'm completely acclimated.

OOPS....Did I say that backwards???? Guess so. What I was saying is that our one clock...mfg some years ago, automatically adjusts according to a few years ago....like jannie says. I did mean the "arguing" to be funny however! Nanny

I've invested in a few atomic clocks so some of the clock changing is no more. Personally I'd prefer to go on 12 month DST. I like having the adjustment in the winter and wouldn't have much impact in the summertime. But then I suppose employers would adjust work hours!

I'm sure I'll be up at 2 am Saturday night/Sunday morning. Send a note if you like!

I used to work graveyard too for a while and I remember the one time the maintenance guy came in to adjust the timeclock and he then adjusted our timecards. Wound up giving an extra hour rather than subtracting the hour. Took me a few days to figure out what he had done since my time report didn't match up. His wife was a disgruntled former manager and wouldn't admit he could make a mistake, so I didn't keep fighting it, I took the extra hour pay and decided to see when payroll figures things out.

NOTE: We fall back and get an extra hour's sleep, but we are going into STANDARD time.

I'd hate to be a young woman in labor when they turned the clock back an hour. LOL

I already changed mine so I would not forget.

I changed mine about 2 hours ago, then I read here to turn them back..............I went forward, I guess I was hoping for Spring!
