truly a rest day (lots of pictures)

Today is truly a rest day. No kids in sight. :)

Both are in day care, and the parents are at work.

I had Nathan for a while this morning, till his hiccups went away. Isn't it awful, when babies have the hiccups, and those make them cry? We just hold Nathan, and walk him, and rock him till they are gone.

Anyway, today was supposed to be a true test, on getting the kids off to daycare, and the parents to work.

Allison left with dad early, getting her breakfast at daycare. Nathan left with mom later, after getting nursed one more time.

My only chores today are cleaning the humidifiers, and anything I find worth doing. :)

So, I was sitting here at the puter, and knitting the daily dishcloth rows and then uploaded some pictures.

Wow; your grandkids are ADORABLE!! I love the picture of the little guy smiling so big and his little tongue is sticking out! And the one of your granddaughter with the bubbles looks like a professional!!! Very very cute.....almost as cute as my granddaughter! LOL, (just kidding of course)!

Good morning everyone! Lucy that is a pretty dahlia..We picked up some tubers this weekend while we were out and about...I saw on the weather channel it was in the 80s in texas yesterday..Isnt that spring? That's pretty cool with the totes. At one time we lived in WY outside of Yellowstone Park. In the early spring I would have a ton of tomatoes and peppers I started from seed to bring in and out of the house because it could still freeze there at night in June! Finally I got disgusted and kept them in large ice chests so at night I would only have to shut the lid. I just had to make sure to open them again in the morning or they would cook LOL! The nieghbors wondered what the heck I was doing out there with the ice boxes!

Newly planted fig has curly leaves next day - Lots of photos

After watering everyday, keeping the shade over my poor Black Jack fig tree, it is showing signs of new life! My Angel Red pomegranate that was planted the same day did the exact same thing. They basically shed 90% of their leaves to help deal with transplant shock. After some TLC for two weeks, they both put out healthy new growth! Here're some photos of the fig tree with new growth. But there are lots of these tiny flies around the tree. Could they be fig whitefly? Here's some photos of my Angel Red that did the exact same thing. Again, I am so glad that I got lots of advise on here for care of my fig tree. But I also have learned from this experience that the plants are pretty smart and does what it needs to cope with the transplant shock if you give them some additional support like water and some shade. I have learned to not freak out as soon as I see the tree drop their leaves when I first plant them, and learn that with proper care they will put out new growth when it is ready.

Sorry, David, it's hard to take a picture of myself, LOL, and I was so busy in the kitchen I didn't even think to take a picture of Mother! Gina, that is indeed a "spray on" tan. You know she didn't get that tan in Michigan in May, it's 51F and raining right now, not much beach time. :-) RR, it was a bit crazy but it all came together in the end, although I only got out of the kitchen long enough to watch the cake cutting, the bouquet and garter toss and I had ONE dance with the groom. Other than that, it was all cooking, serving and cleaning up. Ah well, it kept me out of trouble and it was Ashley's party, not mine. She was happy, so it's all good! David, I do have a long weekend and I think maybe I'll make Elery take me out for dinner for my birthday. I'm sure not baking a cake... Oh, and for those who wanted a picture of Bruvver, before he ate cake and lasagna and had punch and ate too much candy from the candy buffet and threw up, while his shirt was still white, here's Bruvver: Annie Annie

Nathan has double hip displacesure. The harness keeps his thighs at a 90 degree angle at all times, 24 7, except for bathing and onesie changes.

At the first MRI it showed remarkable improvements. Should be out of it at 6 month or before.

Thanks for answering my question, Moni. It's good to know Nathan should be fine and harness free at 6 months. And it sure doesn't seem to make him cranky...such a happy little face!

I know you'd enjoy being just a little closer to those sweet babies. Wishing you all the best as decisions are made.

As precious as they are, I'm sure the quiet of this day is refreshing. It's hard to believe it is already time for your DD to go back to work. The time goes by much too fast.

How cute are those babies?!! I can't believe how big Allison is already. I must've missed some pictures 'cause it seems like she was just Nathan's size. I bet you're enjoying them sooo much! And I'm sure your daughter appreciates all your help. Enjoy!
